1. The DRLs don't match RX5.
2. Just noticed that Chevrolet stickering is clearly seen on the car.

You must have seen pic of older gen RX5, DRLs matches with 2018 model.

You're right. It does match with the 2018 model.

A quick look at the specs makes me feel that this new RX5 should slot in around the Hyundai Tucson. Is that right? Good reviews from the middle east markets.

Given the popularity of SUVs, it is no surprise that MG has decided to target this segment.

The carmaker is also evaluating the ERX5 - an electric SUV based on the RX5 - Related thread

That's the same "SUV Prototype" that ACI reviewed a few months ago. Its supposed to share the EV powertrain with the eZS that is being tested in India currently for a market launch later this year.

Looks like this "Prototype" is headed to ARAI. Also, Chevrolet branding on the tape could be leftover GM stationery at the Halol plant that was taken over by MG.

If I'm right, the RX5 was used as a test bed for the MG eZS and now the soon to be launched, petrol ZS. I don't think that the RX5 will make it to our markets.

2nd point maybe because MG bought GM plant at Gujarat and using old stickers!

Ok thanks. When is the petrol MG ZS expected? I am looking to purchase a new car in March/April. Waiting for the VW Taigun. Kushaq and the MG ZS launch.
