Quality, reliability, comfort and luxury not withstanding I think Lexus is losing the plot with that front grill. Its reached a point where they dont really know how to concave and convex it further.
This is indeed a wonderful car and matches if not exceeds the Germans. In fact most of the Lexus models are solid inside out, but that grill is starting to become absurd.

It's weird. Some cars just do not photograph well. I really didn't care much for how this car looked when I saw the pictures, but when I saw it in person, it made my head turn. This car has some presence, and everything, from the grill, to the lines, to the lights and the boot just worked. It really appeared to be a more modern, or rather, a more cutting-edge and sleeker car compared to the germans. And I believe that's what Lexus were going for. It's like they designed the car, then italicised it.
On the other hand, it misses the stately, sort of "announce-me-before-I-make-an-entrance" of the E and the A6.

I think it looks damn good.

The looks of the Lexus are an acquired taste like marmite. Like it or loathe it you can't ignore it

even if your friends & neighbours turn their noses up those looks ensure you and your car get talked about.

Absolutely! But still, it would have been better if the face is less ‘on your face’ to align with the overall character of the car. Its almost like how I felt when I did a wacky moustache for Movember
