This situation is more or less same in growing cities, here in Pune which grown up exponentially and unplanned created huge money for outskirts (ex) farmers, normally seen white color (with fancy number plates) Scorpio, Fortuner to BMW, MB etc. However, we shouldn't generalize the whole topic, as some of them are forced to sell (industrial zone allocation etc.) or some of them bought the farm in a different place and continue with farming.
