The Sport variant is based on the standard 3 Series Gran Turismo and comes with the Sport Line package. On the outside, it gets new twin-pod LED headlights and L-shaped LED tail lights, kidney grille with gloss black slats, frameless windows and an automatic tail gate. It gets sports seats as standard and has leather interiors with Ash Grain and Pearl Chrome trim, sports steering wheel with red contrast stitching and gear shift paddles. The car comes with features like an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity, navigation and a 205 Watt, 9-speaker audio system. It also gets an iDrive Touch with handwriting recognition, head-up display, panoramic sunroof, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights and 2-zone automatic climate control among others.

The 320d Gran Turismo Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine which produces 188 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. There are 4 driving modes - Comfort, ECOPRO, Sport and Sport+.

Standard safety features include ABS with Brake Assist and Cornering Brake Control, airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), traction control, rear view camera and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors. It gets launch control but misses out on cruise control with braking function.

The BMW 320d Gran Turismo Sport is available in 3 colour options - Alpine White, Black Sapphire and Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect.

Re: BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo Sport launched at Rs. 46.60 lakh

Compared to the earlier 3GT SportLine - this gets a panoramic sunroof and the updated iDrive?
Why can't BMW stick to the same variants and keep it simple like other manufacturers - or keep it simple - a base trim, luxury trim, and sports / M Sport trim rather than having a new variant or similar every now and then that makes it very confusing for the buyers!

EDIT: Just saw the BMW website.

This is effectively replacing the Sport Line variant, and the Luxury Line sits higher up the price ladder by 3L. In fact with the added goodies - it's pretty tempting a price point as for 3L less compared to the luxury line you only lose out on adaptive LED (vs regular LED lights), and a bigger iDrive screen.

It's been confirmed at the Paris Motor Show.

This week at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, BMW’s global development chief Klaus Fröhlich confirmed to motoring.com.au that there are no plans to bring the 3 Series Gran Turismo into the next generation.
Quote:
“Things are changing,” said Fröhlich. “When we did the GT we saw that in demographic change people want to sit a little more upright. But then you saw X1 and X3 you can sit upright and you feel younger. So this segment is under pressure from SUVs, which are having no disadvantage in fuel consumption or in ride and handling.”

May be the way BMW discontinued the 5 series GT and relaunched it as 6GT they may do the same here by discontinuing the 3GT and naming the next gen as the 4GT & charge a healthy premium

Just think of how confusing that would make the 4-series family. They're all derivatives of the 3-series anyway with the most confused being the 4-series gran coupe, which is the sedan version of the coupe version (4-coupe) of a sedan (3-series).

Imagine the product 4GT - The GT version of the sedan version of the coupe version of the 3-series sedan
