Everything said.... Its still a "cheap" car with a hefty price tag, which atleast for me isnt acceptable. I think Mahindra is acting overconfident about the pricing of its vehicles, prime example being its wana be SUV scorpio base model, which is very close to Safari dicor's LX sans lotsa features.
Somebody needs to give them a reality check, and i hope its the indian car buyer.

Talking about Taxi operators, there is one in our locality, who replaced the entire fleet of Qualis with Innova, after the latter was launched.

And yes, taxi operators do charge more for the Innova. The rates are like 1000/8hr for Qualis and 1200/8hr for Innova (Gurgaon).

Maybe same thing will happen with respect to Indigo/Logan.

Another thing I noticed was that white is only offered in the top end GLS and DLS models and not in the base trims.

I was reading The Hindu today and it was mentioned that manufacturing cars in India is 30 % cheaper to them than manufacturing in Europe.
I don't see them passing this cost benefit to the consumers. i am not sure for what price its available in Europe but someone in earlier thread suggested thats it cheaper than for what is available in India.
Mahindra had a killer had they got its pricing right.

There was a new variant of Indigo Launched...which is called V series. and supposedly starts at around 3.7L... looks like they have something preplanned specifically for the logan launch.

Also, I dont know whether the current Mahindra service centers can take the load of the logan....they seem overcrowded with their current servicing needs....

Is it a petrol INDIGO? I doubt if they can sell the diesel model at this price by any means. The INDICA Diesel sells for this much and more.

well lowest model of petrol verdion of v series is at 3.84 lac , while diesel model's bsae version is at 4.34 lac( still more than a lac less than Logan ) but the dicor version of indigo sells for Price: Rs. 585092/- ( i guess this is the top end version )

link of indigo variants :
Variants
i find the site very confusing and it is as unrefined as its car.

Is the car width being measured at bodyshell level or with the mirrors? Are both cars being measured to the same parameter?

Side-mirrors play a huge part in 'increasing' the car width, manufacturers should be very clear about this.

good point supersyn. and i think that is not clear at this point. like i mentioned, it remains to be seen how that 120mm has been used.

Low ground clearance

One major drawback I see is low ground clearance(it is just 155mm)
- Earlier Ford Escort had 155 mm with that it was very difficult to cross bumps and pot holes.
- Now Zen D which had 165mm but due to its heavy weight it is also having the same issue if you have 4 people on board.
