coz it would clean the drivers view last ...
it would be an issue while we switch it on(the first wipe) though
If you look at the base of the driver side arm, it has a cam arrangement like in the Merc's and the wiper jumps into the corner. UK Clio's have same arrangement

Is it really that much of an issue. If the wiper cleans right in front of you a few milliseconds later.

The Civic has opposing wipers which cleans the drivers side the last.

The only problem i see is the unwiped arc on the top right.

O yeah ajmat I was wondering if the cam arrangement was for that. Thats cool.

I remember my W124 having a single wiper and in the middle it would come down. That was cool.

So if the single wiper works which will take longer than this is not a cause for concern.

Hi Guys,

Yesterday I was able to take the test drive of the 1400 CC petrol version of Logan.

The build quality of the car is good and getting in and out is really easy. It looks a bit odd in black because of its rear looks but in the lighter colors it looked quite ok. The wipers are bit different. There is a small box attached to the right wiper and I don't know that what it is for.

Sound insulation inside the car is good. I found the clutch a bit hard. The AC of the car is mind blowing. Suspension setup seems to be quite good as almost no jerks were felt.
Gearshift is quite smooth and power steering seemed lighter than that in my Xing.

Dealers are claiming that in city it would give an average of 13-14.

During my test drive, I could see lots of heads turning.

The car does not look as refined as ikon, aveo or fiesta and it seems value for money to me and I did enjoy driving it.

Very important sentence that.

So going by what you say, the petrol model :

1. Refinement levels not so good.
2. Car is good value for money
3. Its not a pain to drive. Infact drive is enjoyable.

By refinement i don't mean the engine refinement. Its the looks that I am talking about. For eg. the dashboard, the springs that elevate the boot etc.

For normal driving its good.

For spirited driving, the 1400 cc engine is not too great. Can't push it much in the 2nd and 3rd gear as beyond a certain point it cries for gear change. So in that field, its better than my xing but may be not as good as my esteem. However I must say that torque and gear ratio wise I found it more or less similar to the esteem. Ride quality is however better than the esteem.

Note: I am sorry for comparing it again and again with esteem but since we bought an esteem recently, my mind automatically started comparing the two.
