Renault Kwid facelift spotted undisguised, now launched @ 2.83 lakh

I like this Kwid except for those Orange pieces scattered all over the body, just like a kid's stool. One or two are pardonable, but this is not so.

Why did Renault left out BS6 engine in Kwid. When are they coming ?

Engine noise and vibration is the only major issue with Kwid, everywhere else it trounces its competition comfortably. Suzuki K10 engine is on another level in terms power delivery, refinement, longevity and NVH. Hopefully with the BS6 update Renault will work on the refinement angle as well.

This only shows that if a manufacturer gets decent volumes for a model they will invest in regular updates and refreshes which adds to the choice in the segment and good overall for the car buying public. However most of the Indian car buying public goes with just one or 2 Brand’s and that really chokes the other car makers with poor volumes. That triggers actions like feature deletions to preserve margins, extended product life cycle and lack lustre dealer interest. That’s the unfortunate reality of the Indian car market.
