Dear salilpawar1, it means that all of us would also buy a more affordable accessory from a regular store rather than the Mugen kit spoiler that costs 40K, for example. The point is that manufacturers cannot price their non-performing accessories this stratospherically, and expect people to buy it.

From the time I've spent driving the Civic, I find that initial throttle response is far from satisfactory. The car is fast, but not aggressive.

The rest of the car is great, especially the low driving position, the gearshift and the small and precise steering.

Perhaps some of the engine modifiers can have a go at it to extract some additional torque.

The car seems soulless to me. I also find the exterior styling lacking except for the front.

The main reason I feel that the car's not been modded is because of it's high initial cost as well as it's intended buyer profile (as explained by theMAG earlier). And the Mugen kits make no sense to me pricewise.

While we are on the subject of Mugen accesories, here is their price list courtesy of Harshavardhan.

Blimey. Or is that Blow-me? Either way, that price-list is an absolutely Income-tax Department friendly list; the IT Dept simply has to go thru the Mugen customer list for people with large sums of money.

Its sales are doing all the talking. But yes, if skoda had got their stealerships, quality and parts prices under some sort of control, both toyota and honda would have a real tough time. A real pity and waste of opportunity.

Most people who wanted to purchase that level of a car, which was not diesel, simply went to civic because of very costly maintenance/running cost of skoda petrol.

Now, if actually toyota and honda put their decent diesel engines in corolla/civic, octy diesel will start having a very rough time indeed.

I know the cheapest way to have a Mugen Civic. Just buy the MUGEN Logo worth Rs. 1800. That is the only thing affordable here!
Or better still buy or create your own duplicate one!

Indeed by such overpricing, only those who simply have no knowledge about customization will buy these products.
And these will be bought by only the wannabe "car dudes" (there can be exceptions too) who have plenty of bank balance and just want to show off....Believe me.......

Just wished the civic was in the segment of 7.5-9L like the earlier OHC it would have replaced our Old gold OHC which rocked.
I still use the OHC feb'98 model had bought for 7.8L 1.3exi.

I had similar liking especially for the RS but after hearing about a couple of bills/service conduct , I feel a Civic + remap + Koni/Blistein suspension seems more sensible than RS.
