The Tata H2X sub-4 meter SUV has been spotted testing with what appear to be production-spec tail lamp clusters.

Tata's upcoming sub-4 meter SUV is based on the HBX concept that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The SUV features Tata's Impact 2.0 design language. The test car has oval tail lamps with Y-shaped brake lights. The tail lamp clusters house diamond shaped turn indicators as well.

The H2X test mule has a high-mounted stop lamp positioned above the rear windshield. It also appears to have reflectors on the rear bumpers.

The H2X was supposed to be launched in the second half of this year. However, reports suggest that the launch might have been pushed to FY2021.

This needs beefed up tyres or else it might end up ugly like KUV100. The only reason HBX was looking good at the Expo was because of those beefy off-road tyres.
If not, it would end up like KUV100 which looks like an ugly hatchback than a crossover.

Alloys, LED DRLs, projector, rear wiper. Pretty sure this is the top model.

Then get ready to see an ugly looking just tad bit better may be, from the super ugly KUV100. Only reason it looked good the expo was because of beefy tyres.

Absolutely true. If any of these mini-"SUV"s came with wider wheels(even just dealer installed without voiding any warranty) they'd have a hit on their hands.

Spotted the car today morning outside the Tata motors plant in Chinchwad. Gravitas was also on test, though could not click it.

The car had a good road presence and was doing decent speeds. The pick up was akin to a turbo petrol motor. I was following him in my Ecosport and had to push my car to keep up with him.

The headlights and tail lamps appeared production ready.

Apart from this, the rear door handle placement was similar to KUV 1OO.

Somehow the overall shape of the car did appear very appealing, maybe because of all the camouflage?

This is so proportionate for the segment it is in !

For Tata this is certainly much more important launch in comparison to Gravitas to make further inroads in mass segment.
Looking forward for this launch.
