Wow! The brown looks amazing. Going by the dark tinted glass, these cars are probably for the advertisement shoot or display cars at the launch.

I would have liked some more ground clearance. I can not place this GC in crossover territory.

Overall, the car looks fantastic. This car is an important consideration for my brother. If it comes in Nexon diesel specs, we are buying this eyes closed.

The body shades we have seen till now are exactly the ones featured in the Punch logo.

One red, one brownish grey and two blues.

Lets wait for the specifications at the time of the launch, shall we ? Visual cues from amateur footage can be misleading. Besides, the absolute number for ground clearance itself doesn't count for much- depends on the body design. I used to own a Micra which had a rated ground clearance of 154mm. And trust me, I never ever bottomed out on any of Pune region's bad roads (and there are plenty).

Came across this video on YouTube of the Punch parked in a dealer yard.

Honestly this doesn't seem to be built to cost like the Magnite. I think the price may be higher than speculated.

I would love to be proven wrong.

An electric version of this will be the go-to city car.

Probably just me or does the logo look like "P I L N C H" with L written in mirror of effect/style. (at a glance I read it as PINCH )

But a brilliant idea of announcing colours in the name!

Hope TATA does takes up NCAP safety rating/equivalent for the PUNCH , a 5-star rating would be an outstanding thing in the segment, (and for their marketing team as well )

The Interior looks neat and clean. Will miss the armrest. The good thing is that leather wrapped steering and gear knob is given. The fit of the steering cover isn't good aftermarket. Boot space looks decent. The beige interior makes the interior airy, I think they have taken Ignis as inspiration.
But I cannot see the different terrain mode switches anywhere🤔
A perfect package is what I can say if this vehicle comes under 10 lakhs.

Looks like Tata has a winner on their hands. The Punch looks smart and solid; the colors are new and attractive as well.
I hope it is a fully ready product unlike some of Tata's version 1.0 s in the past.

After you pointed out, I looked at the video again and you're right. All the hype about Terrain Modes, and no visible dial or evident place for such an arrangement in the Centre Console, seems strange!

Another thought that I have in mind in that they terrain Modes might be on the Right side of the steering, and hence not visible. Or, this is the top-1 model, and hence we can not see the mode selector in the vehicle.

I say Top-1, because I can see space for installing 12V Charging Port in the rear part of the Centre Console, and maybe this is reserved for the top most variant. Also, the door levers etc. seem to have Satin Silver kind of finish and not Chrome, as is usually the case with the top end models.

Just my wild guesses.

re: The Tata Punch (aka Hornbill) Compact SUV

I’m really impressed of how the car looks on road seen on the videos posted on the thread.

I feel the front could’ve been done a little better than the harrier inspired face. Nevertheless, I’m sure it’s going to be a safer car in the segment. Besides, I observed the car picking up speed pretty quickly in one of the videos next to a Brezza at the end. Hope it remains true to its name “Punch”.

I’m curious to see a comment / compliment from GTO on this product (p)review. He’s pretty much predicted how the subsequent versions of Tata’s products turn out to be vs the initial ones. Hope it’s something positive this time around from Tata

re: The Tata Punch (aka Hornbill) Compact SUV

After seeing the interiors one thing is for sure that this car will be pitched below Altrox and a littler higher that Tiago.

The exteriors left us guessing that it will be pitched above Altroz and just below Nexon but with no arm rest no rear ac vents and fabric seats in the top model has made sure that this will be a budget micro SUV.

No number plates and tinted windows on public roads . What's happening here?
