Im curious to see the HBX, which will inevitably be dubbed the 'baby Nexon', stack up price wise. It can't share the Spresso bandwidth, given Tata's safety focus and expected features list. It has to exist somewhere in the upper Altroz neighbourhood and blend into the Nexon's lower end.

Skimmed Harrier headlights on a Nexon like grill it is.

All the recent reveals confirms that the car will almost be identical to the concept, except for that botched up tyres which the concept had.

Tata Hornbill Spied Testing before its 2021 launch:

It will feature a two-part headlamp unit, sloping roofline, rising shoulder line, flared wheel arches, and a rear spoiler. Dimensionally, Hornbill measures 3840mm, 1822mm, and 1635mm in length, width, and height respectively. The wheelbase, on the other hand, is rated at a competitive 2450mm. What is visible is the new LED DRL on the top and main headlight below it.

On serious side, the weight should be around a ton. Tata's legacy suggest the structure would be reinforced at right places including roof which is essential for small cars. New platform means more quantity of high strength steel as well as good ride and handling.

It should also have a good crash safety rating. May be same 4 stars as like Tiago. Tata got Espresso GNCAP results just ahead the time.

@volkman10, Are these dimensions correct? Because width mentioned here is more than that of Nexon, Brezza, Ecosport, and some other C-SUVs. Height is also more than Nexon. While width and height are greater, lengthwise it is smaller, making it an awkward vehicle dimensionally compared to it's elder sibling Nexon.

It's based on the ALFA platform, so expect it to be lighter than Altroz and Tata had mentioned that all cars based on ALFA (or all upcoming new cars) will be 5 star worthy.

I mean anger due to being on the camera without consent is one thing, but did he really have to flip the camera person off? Was it so difficult to imagine that a highly camouflaged car would attract a lot of attention? I was pondering about what caused him to act in such an immature way just the previous week.

The new Tata HBX is slated to be launched sometime in 2021 and judging by the amount of camouflage on the cars, we do not expect the production version to arrive any time before mid-2021.

This is not baby Nexon, but looks like baby Harrier to me. Front looks more similar to Harrier than Nexon. I am sure this car will also be looker as their recent line up.

Tata - Please bring 1.2 L engine with Turbo from day one. You have it ready for Altroz anyway. Just make sure you have it in this so that it will have enough power for pull this SUV.

If Tata plans to pit this against Kiger and Magnite, AMT (from Fiat) in the HBX is not the correct move.
