Have the prices also been updated? We are getting a zeta. So thankfully, nothing new being added or deleted.

Re: Driven: The 2017 Maruti S-Cross Facelift

Any idea if and when it will get the new petrol engine of the Ciaz ? The new 1.5 petrol plus the all wheel disc brake combo of the S-Sross will be a great combination in my humble opinion.

So, Delta has become as competent a variant as the Zeta?

I don't see any changes in the prices of S Cross in the Nexa website. But not sure if they have carried over these updates in the brochure provided there.

Since there is no sunroof in Ciaz, none in S Cross updates too.

RM confirms the update. Prices may increase by 30k- 50k. I guess delta will be priced just below 10 lac mark.

Re: Maruti S-Cross updated with new features

interesting upgrade! They could have improved the alpha too by adding 6+ airbags and offering the 1.5 L petrol engine and the BS6 Diesels.

Re: Maruti S-Cross updated with new features

The passenger seat belt reminder alarm, can this be retrofitted? Will be useful

Re: Maruti S-Cross updated with new features

I wonder what's stopping Maruti from launching the petrol? Maybe it's a production constraint and will only launch the petrol S-Cross and Brezza once constraints are sorted out. This will only make the cars sell better.

And Maruti, please do provide proper auto options!

Re: Maruti S-Cross updated with new features

This is a good update. Why note MS bring in a True Automatic [not AMT please] transmission in S-Cross? While I read feedback about S-Cross, it seems like a well built machine unlike other MS cars [most of others are like tin-can]. So, a proper AT would be a welcome addition, I guess.

Part in bold might be the reason why they are not considering automatic, heavy build car + traditional Torque Converter=Poor mileage. They don't want to S-cross to have the same poor mileage image of its older cousin SX4.

Re: Maruti S-Cross updated with new features

Delta gets two of my fav (must have's) - ACC & Cruise Control. And it's a pretty decent price at 9.4L ex showroom. I think this is very similar to the Ciaz as well, where we have such features in the top end - 2 level variants. I no longer have to bother about looking at the top spec for such features. Only if other manufacturers also follow suit, which they'll be forced to, now.

What I can't fathom is the 11.35L ex showroom (Chennai) price for Alpha model, which is 1.35L extra over the Zeta for simple things like projector headlight / fog lamps, auto headlamps, wipers and leather seats. Nothing looks mandate (to me) to opt for the Alpha.

Not simple projectors, they are LED projectors (which will also cost a bomb to replace if broken by our autowallahs brake tests). My bias towards alpha is just for the LED projectors as you said rest are irrelevant. I for one hate the leather seats in chennai heat and would like the ventilated fabric seats (ala Verna) even as an option in the Alpha. The best update MSIL missed out here is the upgrade of Alpha to 6/more airbags and a all wheel drive. Remember, internationally the S-Cross is available only as "AllGrip".

Re: Maruti S-Cross updated with new features

Now the brochure is also updated. The initial two variants get new features. But, there is no change in the prices as per the Nexa website.

Re: Maruti S-Cross updated with new features

Prices are also updated. The Zeta model price goes up by about INR 46K approx, and Alpha by 15K approx -- all ex showroom.
