I drive an Elite i20, and it doesn't have a rear washer-wiper. Not something I cannot live without, but when I am paying a hefty premium for a sub-4m car, I expect it to have basic niceties like a rear washer-wiper, front armrest, rear parking sensors, steering mounted audio controls etc.

Heard Hyundai India had kept a very strict embargo on this as it is a global reveal.

As far as looks of the SUV goes, It will sell no doubt, but I dont like the way the car looks. I am told its almost 100mm shorter in height than its rivals. Hope it doesnt end up looking like a raised hatch.

the Venue is 5.1 inches (13 centimeters) shorter and 1.2 inches (3.05 cm) narrower than the Kona. In addition, the wheelbase is 3.2 inches (8.13 cm) shorter. The little model is 0.6 inches (1.52 cm) taller, though, which gives the crossover a chunky look. On the inside, the size difference translates to 2.7 cubic feet (76.5 liters) less total interior volume than the Kona.

True that. That grill needs to be de-chromed as soon as possible. So this also follows the new styling of front end like Harrier. Is there a fog lamp or are we losing it?

There seems to be fog lamps in the bumper housing. Agree with the grill, too flashy. Maybe a carbon/ matt version may work better.

Overall the design seems to be a mix of flashy front and understated rear. Side profile works best here. But lets see if in other colors, lately manufacturers have not done a great job of choosing the right color for the launch.

The Fog Lamps are integrated into the bumper. Side profile resembles Creta, but it is better with the groves and curves.

Hyundai USA launch event is more about Sonata, than Venue.

158.9 inches length = 4036mm. India version will have nose or tail trimmed off for removing those pesky 36mms!
