Protect:

In an event of a breakdown, the driver can request roadside assistance by pressing the 'Optimised Assistance' button on the left side of the overhead console. This will connect the driver with a helpline operator who will then guide the service unit to the vehicle. The InControl Remote Smartphone App can also be used to request for assistance.

In case of an emergency, the driver can send out an SOS by pressing the button on the right side of the of the overhead console. However, a serious incident such as an accident would automatically trigger the SOS Emergency Call feature and connect the user to the emergency response team.

Pretty cool. But you know what would be cooler? Something like GM's OnStar. They could have also taken it a step further by offering Range Rover customers a concierge who can help them with stuff like table bookings etc. Imagine getting into your car, pressing a button and telling the chap at the other end "please book me a table at the Celini, Grand Hyatt". BPO is anyway cheap in India and Range Rovers are overpriced enough to accommodate this small bump up in cost. Or charge your customers a nominal annual fee for the service.

Lexus (and I'm sure a few others) offer a concierge service like that in their halo products in the USA - the LFA had it, pretty sure the LS has it. I'm not sure if they do it here, but I think its a great idea for the premium brands to try and implement something like that atlas in the halo products.

Such a concierge service already exists when you have a premium credit card "HDFC Infinia/Black, American Express, Etc" & if someone can afford one of these beauties they can definitely afford a ultra premium CC.
