Spotted this G20 test mule being tested today morning on my way to work. Going by the contraption stuck at the back it looks as if it is undergoing emissions testing.

Interior shot though not clear seemed to be dominated by a largish screen. I could be mistaken and it could possibly be a diagnostics laptop hooked up there too.

What a scoop - thanks for sharing :thumbs up! The global unveiling of this model is next month.

And it couldn't be coming any sooner. The 3-Series feels so old now, especially when compared to the sexy C-Class. BMW India really, really needs this car to get back some market-share from Mercedes.

Wow! looks like a 340i (going by the twin exhausts on either side). That shows that the BMW heads taking India seriously than ever before. Can't wait to see this in RHD version in India.cpics:

Nope, thats definitely not a 340i. BMW if they launch the 340i will launch the M340i & there aren't any M sport elements on that mule.

The 330i also has twin exhausts in the G20, check out this pic of a 330i from the pre-production media drive event;

Right!! I forgot that with G20 there is no more the "340i" rather only on M trim. As pointed by you this should be a 330i.

Its going to be unveiled at the upcoming (october 4?) paris autoshow. Eagerly looking forward to it.

I guess they're already done with the hexagonal DRLs. These new ones look like the ones on the Jaguar XJ facelift launched a few years ago.

It looks like BMW is putting it through a rigorous rolling emission test.

We Bangaloreans have spotted a non-camoflagued VW Golf GTD doing its rounds around the city with a similar emissions-testing contraption.

The new-generation 3 is long overdue. At the moment, the C Class is walking all over it, and the A4 is a pretty decent package. BMW will need to up their game, and fast!.. before Mercedes launches the facelift C, which is not far away.

The facelift C has been launched today.

The 3 series will have a big advantage if they get their Petrol motors right. The Audi has a 1.4 ltr and Mercedes does not have one in their new C line up.

If it is Petrol in this segment, you have no choice but to go for the 330I or have to go down to the Octavia/Superb in RS trim.

The G20 looks fantastic and I believe it's going to get some of the lost driving dynamics back. This is so on my "I want" list. It's got to be the 340i M. I have to get what I believe is probably the last gen for inline 6 petrol engines. The electric motors are going to take over the next gen vehicles. The Tesla Model 3 I hear is fantastic to drive and that might just be the way forward but you do not want to be on your death bed many years from now, kicking yourself for not enjoying an inline 6.

The C class and the new A4 have truly moved the goal post further in terms of ride quality and interiors. Hopefully the boys and girls from Munich hit this one out of the stadium. The C43 has insane power and the S4 isn't far behind. The rumour is that the 340 will have over 360 bhp and given the specs of the new Z4 with the B58. It's insane how the 340i now is more powerful than the E46 M3 - which btw, is my favorite 3 series. I am thrilled that they're getting that little notch in the headlights as a tribute to the E46.

I'm sure this is only a stop gap, there should surely be a C200 soon. Merc isn't known for going purely diesel. And going by BMW standards Merc might have a launch before the 3 series is even launched.

I hope they launch the C300 instead of the C200. BMW has moved the needle with the 330i and its only reasonable that MB gets us a similarly powered car.

Rushlane reports that the new 2019 BMW 3 Series has showed up in India.

Earlier this year, a camouflaged test mule of the seventh generation BMW 3-Series was spotted for the first time in India. Now, new images of the car with lesser camouflage have surfaced online.

The new BMW 3-Series comes with a twin kidney grille up front flanked by twin-pod headlamps. The front bumper has been redesigned and now features slim LED fog lamps. At the rear, the car has new L-shaped tail lights and a revised bumper with twin exhausts. The sporty front and rear bumpers suggest that this could be the M Sport variant. The test vehicle is also riding on multi-spoke alloy wheels.

On the inside, the new 3-Series gets a redesigned dashboard with a touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

In India, the new 3-Series is expected to be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engine options. It will compete with the Audi A4, the Jaguar XE and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Compete? I believe this will demolish the others instantly! It immediately grabs attention and checks all the boxes to make it a fantastic package. Although, it seems very Japanese from the rear, a'la Lexus.
