And Suzuki had been using CERVO brand name for the small cars since ages.
MUL's zen launched in 1993 was Suzuki CERVO in 1990
So, nothing new about cervo!

This car is the Suzuki Cervo and was touted to be the next Alto.
However reports are still flying in the air and nothing seems to be concrete.

Thats the Cervo right ? If they are naming it M800 then I hope they stick to the current price as well.

Suzuki cant even match the Nano price with a 25-year old model like M800 for which it has recovered it's manufacturing line cost many times over, how do you expect it is going to do it with a new car like Cervo.

Cervo is not really a low-cost car, it is a car targeted at city users or environmentally conscious users in Jap or perhaps Western markets.

Never will they be able to price the Cervo lesser than the 800. Wish they would.

The Cervo was a replacement for the Cervo mode (Maruti Zen) in Japan. If ever MSIL decides to launch it in India, it will have a starting price of atleast 3L and will most likely be replacing the Alto.
Hope this is the BSIV Alto which everyone is talking about.

These are the spy shots of the Cervo taken in India some time back in march 2008

From the front it looks alien-ish but boy, are the side profile body lines good or what!!
OT: Cervo would have sold like hot cakes if it were launched in place of the the Ritz and A*.

The car shown (Cervo) cannot beat the nano on pricing it would be closer to the M800 in terms of pricing and could replace it and the Alto both, infact it surely passes higher levels of safety than both the M800 and the Alto.

The design is to complex for the car to land on road below Rs. 2.25L.

if this car comes out for less than 1.5 lacs then nano will feel the heat for sure.
