![]() This segment is dead but for MS Dzire and Amaze(only breathing due to its diesel CVT). Manufacturers now have one less segment to worry about. However, hyundai could have retained the earlier Xcent, IMHO the newer one isn't the most pleasing to eyes(due to blackened c-pillar). Last edited by jetsetgo08 : 19th December 2019 at 17:56.

![]() For the lack of a better descriptive word and my limited vocabulary, the rear is yuck!!! This is worse than the earlier iteration of xcent. And this coming from Hyundai is shocking. Historically, design language and interiors are themes where Hyundai bettered Maruti on a consistent basis and it's a USP for the brand. However, the current iteration of dzire annihilates Aura on design and exterior aesthetics. To those who considered the exterior of new Amaze to be weird, I think the crown now goes to Aura.

![]() The Dzire looks much better than this, not because I own it but this thing looks seriously disappointing! Never expected this from Hyundai ![]()

![]() Wow, Never expected the 2nd gen "Xcent" to look this bad! I think Tigor is the best designed car in this segment, wish it were a bit wider and a little lower slung.

![]() It seems Hyundai is prepared for the vacuum that might be left by Dzire diesel and etios diesel taxi segment post implementation of BS6. On the looks , 2 nd gen Honda City rear seems similar (as mentioned by other bhpians) and also a somewhat forgotten model Chevrolet Sail's rear. Front seems fine, at the rear absence of chrome might look better.

![]() I have to say Hyundai has messed this up! the Nios is one of the best looking cars in the hatchback segment but the aura is clearly way down the list in the looks dept of the sub4m sedan segment.Time to scrap this 4m rule.

![]() This Aura looked better as a sketch only. I think TATA is the best when it comes to designing cars in today's time. I say this because: -VAG group is happy with facelifts and sticker job. -Honda, well all cars look the same. A rectangular LED headlamp and thick chrome moustache and you have a Honda car. - Maruti plays it super safe. There design language is more of an evolution of the previous versions. - Hyundai the less said the better. I'm worried what an eyesore these new Hyundai cars will be when they flood our roads in the next few years. - Mahindra designers get obsessed with some animal while designing their cars eg: Cheetah(XUV), Shark(Marazzo), Tiger(KUV as far as I remember) etc etc. Probably they should open a zoo. -Toyota, their grilles are getting too large and Lexus inspired styling is just too bad. Not commenting on KIA and MG as they are still new to the market and sell only a single model. Last edited by Storm2.0 : 19th December 2019 at 18:55.

![]() Yuck!!! The extend car makers go now-a-days to slap a boot to a hatchback. Come-on Hyundai, not expected, but guess what now we have one more "sedan" option.

![]() That pinching C-pillar design while looking good in the NIOS was always going make it look awkward with boot integration. I was wondering how they were going to pull it off and the design sketches made it look better but the production integration makes me cringe!

![]() Yuck!! I'm getting blind looking into those aftermarket rear tail lamps, glossy C -pillar and those first in segment chrome handles, double boomerangs. What is this design language? Where are those gorgeous looking fluidic designs? I always thought Hyundai is a car with gimmicks and with this, the real Hyundai is back in market. Please Hyundai don't allow this car for the Taxi segments. Can't see these glaring cars on the roads. ![]() Last edited by saisree : 19th December 2019 at 19:39.

![]() Hyundai’s new design language is messed up big time! First the ix25 (soon to be launched Creta), then this. Just hope that the upcoming i20 doesn’t drop things to a whole new level. ![]() ![]()

![]() Why Hyundai, why ! The rear end is worse than the Xcent. DZire can have a sigh of relief.
