I think both the petrol and diesel are available only in automatic. The difference is that the diesel gets a new 8 speed transmission while petrol remains at the old 6 speed transmission.

Re: Rumour: Hyundai Tucson facelift launch by mid-2019

Supposedly there are only 2 trims. GL and GLS in both petrol and diesel. Not clear if automatic (diesel only) is an additional trim.

If anyone gets hands on the price list, pls post!

I dont mean t sound rude, but Hyundai in front of its sibling Kia, looks overly understated and boring...

18.76 lacs onwards

Edit: I think these are old prices that moneycontrol is wrongly reporting. My bad.

I can see an infinity logo at 2:11 on the speaker grill - can anyone else confirm if the audio is by infinity?

Edit: confirmed - see below video. No cooled seats though. I hope this is the GL(O) and we get it in the GLS! These 2 features were on my bucket list.

The displayed model is the GLS. The LED head and taillights are available only on the GLS trim.

Re: Rumour: Hyundai Tucson facelift launch by mid-2019

While Hyundai India is calling it the Tucson 2020, it really is the 2-year old Tucson 2018 facelift of its 3rd-gen already running in US, Canada, South Korea, Australia and Europe (and possibly more markets) since past 2 years.. That way, it is quite a belated launch here in India.. In fact, this launch comes when Hyundai is about to launch the latest gen (4th Gen) Tucson globally, which is a radically new vehicle and much advanced than the just launched facelift of 3rd-gen.. The 4th Gen Tucson would be in global markets by Q4 of 2020, which means India won't get that Tucson till late-2022 / early 2023 (even though Hyundai earlier claimed to launch the 4th Gen Tucson in India in 3 seat configuration by late-2021).. Even coming to this just launched facelift, it still misses out on some of the awaited features, such as front seat ventilation, lane assist guidance, blind spot camera, front headlight spray, and only driver seat one push window up and down.. And I would've liked the light creme coloured interior theme, than all black (a personal take).. And why the hell are we not offered the new Santa Fe, when even Pakistan has seen it launching there (meaning, if Pakistan can generate Santa Fe sales, then India sure can).. We need a good 3-row SUV.. And yet, no news on when the Santa Fe / Palisade / Kia Sorento / Kia Telluride would launch.. None of these vehicles is even displayed at the Auto Expo 2020, especially when Kia Carnival is launched.. Hyundai/Kia are really giving a second-class treatment to the Indian market, which is not very reassuring.. 😐

Re: Rumour: Hyundai Tucson facelift launch by mid-2019

Ugh, talk about basic interiors. It was one thing that the current one lacked and this doesn't look any better from the inside. Agree with the member feels like second-class treatment.

Re: Rumour: Hyundai Tucson facelift launch by mid-2019

Well, there's very, very, very little difference compared to the 2016/17 model that I have. How do they even call this a facelift, let alone an upgrade?

Re: Rumour: Hyundai Tucson facelift launch by mid-2019

wow....those interiors look seriously low rent. In comparison, the harrier looks super premium. Hyundai, if you are reading this, you CANNOT give a plain grey cabin in a 30 lakh car! Please take this contraption back to wherever you brought this from!

Hyundai actually surprised me with the new Tucson.
For the first time I am seeing a very laid back and lacklustre approach. With the entry of Kia I thought they will up their game but it seems to be going downhill.

Kia may even decide at some point to bring in the Sorento the Tucson's cousin.

Even the new Creta is a bit polarising. Pitted against the Seltos at probably higher price it will be game on Hyundai.

So what have they added.

Powered passenger seats.

Connected car features.

A new gearbox to pair with the BS VI engine.

The front and rear and the interiors look just the same. The older Tucson was showing its age and the new one will have to drag on.

Maybe Hyundai is expecting it to sell in double digits and hence the approach.

The Sportage is the Tucson’s cousin and yes, I too feel Kia will do a better job, if they ever decide to bring that here. The Sorrento is the SantaFe’s cousin.

On that note, boy oh boy, what were Hyundai thinking. First and foremost this is a 2018 model in most international markets where the Tucson is sold.

I don’t know how they thought this will pass for a 30L car interior. All black. Really ??? Atleast a dose of beige would’ve probably made things better.

Also prices are what killed this last time, looks like it’s going to continue. This will be another dud.

The Harrier definitely is more impressive than this. Also costs a lot less.

Re: Rumour: Hyundai Tucson facelift launch by mid-2019

on initial looks, i liked the black dashboard. but then realized that the black seats might be quite ugly. Going to be at autoexpo tomorrow, so will check it out. this car is on my list for this year.

On the price, i read somewhere that they might even decrease the price a bit because of localization as the previous model was CKD. But we'll have to wait and see. BS6 and other additions might now allow for a decrease after all. Fingers crossed!

Re: Rumour: Hyundai Tucson facelift launch by mid-2019

Information displayed at Autoexpo about the the Tucson. I dont know why they didn't add a column for the GL trim. It surely is going to be available.
