:Shockked: Hey People, I just happened to see a Mahindra Scorpio...with a New Badging...Normally we have either 2.6 Turbo or CRDe, this one had "M2Di"

I have clicked the pictures, but not too sure how to post them...

Man, you should have stopped the vehicle and checked out details ;-) Will one of the mods advice a newbie on posting pics please?

Just the news I was waiting and hoping for as I would like to buy the new 2.2 ltr. Any further input from your end would be a BIG help !

The M2DI variant is not with the new engine, but with their own old 2.5L engine.
There was a thread about this a while ago.

Check here

Also i guess this has been discussed before, its the Bolero engine which is getting into the Scropio to reduce its cost for the Tourit Taxis.

What happened about the pics.

still waiting for pictures!!!!

Guys

I have driven this scorpio, Its not even worth talking about, its the same scorpio minus the CRDe engine instead a Bolero Di engine is fitted, it sells for about 70 K cheaper then the base scorpio, basically it has been created to aim at the rural and taxi market and to counter the Tavera FE claims (without a CDRe engine). For a normal scorpio fan this one is not even worth taking a test drive.

Spoke to a reliable soul in Mahindra's Mumbai office and the talk is April launch for the 2.2 ltr version.
Now any dope from somone who knows someone reliable in Tata for news on the Safari 2.2 ltr launch? The dealers in Chennai/Bangalore/Delhi are of no help at all.

:Shockked: Scorpios to Cab drivers??? we are doomed man!

Ouch and i just put a K&N in mine.. I understand it does everything except make breakfast!! ;-)

Here comes the next breed of Indicabs...oops, the Scorpcabs. Did anyone say 'Tavera'?

Absolute volumes are what any auto-manufacturer should be after, so they can't be blamed, not too much anyway.

This will hurt the image of the car - the 2.2L CRDe we've been reading about will have an uphill task ahead.

Sorry folks, me unable to post the pics as i have lost them!!!:Frustrati but i agree with some as it looked like the base version of the scorpio...
