MG Motor India will be showcasing its products in 10 cities in India starting December 14, 2018.



MG's multi-city product showcase kicks off in Gurgaon. MG will also display its cars in Noida, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Delhi.



MG Motor India plans to launch its first SUV in the second quarter of 2019. The cars will be built at its Halol facility. The carmaker has already finalized 45 dealer partners and will operate around 100 sales and service facilities across the country.

The display vehicles are setup at the Ground Floor of the Ambience Mall Gurgaon.

The narrative was aggressive with strong messaging harping on the British heritage.

The cars on display were left hand drive and still wore the chinese script on their backs.

Feature rich offerings with sunroofs of all shapes and sizes on all of them. Soft touch plastics and leather treatments were lavish on all cars.

Definite head turners but personally I felt the doors to be light and hollow and the build quality to be not that great with the switches and vents a tad flimsy on closer observation.

I had clicked these pics when the MG cars were on display at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon.

Based on some quick observations, I feel that the ZS lacks excitement, the RX5 looks smart but interiors are a letdown, the HS has the best interiors IMO.

Sadly none of these will make it to India anytime soon. The Hector will the first offering and the MG officials indicated a "segment-best" package at a "very tempting" price bracket !
