I test drove the freestyle petrol today(link (Ford Freestyle 1.2L Petrol : Official Review)). The SA was pretty confident on Figo launch on
12th March. Would be interesting to see how they price it vis-a-vis the freestyle. She also added it will come with the automatic transmission. Hope it's true. Other than grand i10, no other conventional ATs this side of 10L(OTR Bangalore). This would be welcome if they manage to price it well

+1 to your take on the looks. The pre-facelifted Figo and Aspire were much better looking IMO. The S variants even more so.

I too am eagerly waiting for info on the facelifted Figo’s S variant, hope it’s a worthy competitor to the Tiago JTP, which is now my benchmark for a fun hatch.

This is going to make my upcoming purchase decision all the more exciting. Hmmm

The 2019 Figo will be positioned below the Freestyle CUV, arrives at dealerships.

Reworked exterior and it brings the new Figo in line with the Freestyle. It features redesigned bumpers up front and rear, brand new fog lamp assembly, updated headlamp and tail lamp units to infuse a sporty vibe, more aggressive honeycomb mesh grille, newly designed 15-inch black alloy wheels and so on. Stepping inside the cabin, the 2019 Ford Figo gets highlighting changes alongside added features list. It comes equipped with a 6.5-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC3 connectivity supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity as recently updated models, usage of more upscale materials, etc.

....the 1.5-litre turbo TDCi developing 100 PS and 215 Nm is paired to a six-speed manual...

Yup, considering that neither the Aspire nor the Freestyle get it, its a no-brainer that the Figo would not get it too. But the gearbox is certainly 6-speed ready, with an offset reverse gear that requires the driver to lift a collar before he can engage the reverse gear.

I hope the Blu version posted above is a specific variant (CNG?) and not the default styling. Not a fan of black alloys or sticker jobs. Autocar article seems to confirm that, and also the 1.5P AT variant (hoping against hope this comes in T+ avatar).

2019 Ford Figo Facelift India versions gets new interior changes which includes a new touchscreen and center console with revised dashboard color will making it more appealing. The screen is Sync 3 equipped and comes Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Feature list includes start-stop button

2019 Ford Figo Facelift India versions will have the new Dragon petrol engine. Ford will offer their new Dragon series of 1.2, 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines. 1.5 petrol will get an automatic. 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel will get 5-speed manuals.

The alloys on the previous generation were better off, even as swiftnfurious stated, the previous gen looked better.

Adjustable headrests is a nice addition, the floating audio set up seems to be a change as in the aspire, rest the tachometer and dials look all the same.

Good part is, there is no beige.

I just hope and pray the power delivery on the diesel mill remains the same as on the older version.

Why doesn't Ford provide front center armrest and projector headlamps with DRLs in Figo or Freestyle? I was expecting these features in the facelift. Other manufacturers have already started to provide projectors from lower variants. Reflectors don't help at all on highways.(I can say this because I already have Figo.) There should be projectors at least on the top trim.

I think Ford should experiment by giving 2 versions of Figo with the 1.5 litre dragon. A luxury version perhaps with all bells and whistles with the 6 speed AT and an out and out sporty version with the same engine and a manual, tweaked suspension and the works!!

It is wonderful to see that Ford has implemented adjustable headrests for the rear seat. The Alloys could have been better. For exclusivity's sake, they should have retained the slatted front grill from the outgoing Figo. Hope they price it well.

The 2019 Ford Figo will be available in three variants – Ambiente, Titanium, and a new Titanium BLU top end trim. Revised front and rear bumpers, a honeycomb front grille, tweaked headlights and larger 15-inch alloy wheels will help revamp the Ford Figo’s look. A dual-tone roof will further help differentiate the look of top-spec Figos.

The Ford Figo’s interior will get a makeover of its own with a restyled dashboard, similar to what we’ve seen on the updated Ford Aspire and Ford Freestyle. There will be more equipment too with the addition of keyless entry and push button start, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and a head unit with Bluetooth and navigation. We can now confirm Ford’s slick Sync3 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be given a miss. In line with upcoming safety norms, the Ford Figo will get ABS, rear parking sensors, seat-belt reminders and a speed-alert system standard across the range.

Top-spec Ford Figos will also get adjustable rear headrests and will also get a class-leading 6 airbags.

As is already known, the update will also include big changes in the powertrain department. Petrol-manual Figos will see a big power up with the move to Ford’s latest 96hp, 1.2-litre engine that will be paired to a new 5-speed manual gearbox.

The range-topping Figo petrol-auto will also make the shift to Ford’s new 123hp, 1.5-litre motor that will come coupled to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission in place of the earlier dual-clutch unit.

The 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel unit, with a 5-speed manual stick shifter, will be carried over from the previous Figo
