Sorry, but I don't think that anyone is targeting Veyron-W16. There are problems with the quality of SOME chinese goods, but there are also many examples of good quality chinese products, like mobile phones, where many people prefer their quality to I phones, which by the way are made in China too.

We still have border issues with China ? It may not matter much when we don't get spares for a small ticket electronics gadget, but it will hurt a lot for something like cars.

True, we do have border issues with China, however, the world is moving towards resolving issues through dialogue. Hopefully, we manage to resolve or atleast keep things in status quo without resorting to war. If there is a war, especially between India & China, I think spare parts of cars will be the least of our concerns.


I think the mood amongst most young Indians is to evaluate goods independently on factors such as Pricing, Looks, Quality. (Perhaps in that order of importance). Lets see how they respond to the Hector. The market is usually the best judge of whether the product is worth it or not. So lets wait and see what the market feels about the Hector.

Can you provide the exact location if possible, may be on google maps. I see one in Wakad and the other one in Pashan

Nevermind found it, there are two showroom one in Wakad and the other one is near parakh house, bund garden, opposite to some petrol pump (thats what she said), the later one will be open in 5 days

Saw an MG showroom on Mathura road in faridabad. Did not have time to go inside but from outside it looked big and impressive. Will try to visit today on my way back home. Not in the market for a SUV but from pics and specs details Hector looks a very compelling rival to Harrier. If they price it at par it has the potential to dent Harrier sales.

But the tag line of "internet car" seems a bit lame and dull. They could've chosen something more catchy and less cheesy in my opinion.
