I have been informed by some of the Hyundai dealers in Bangalore that Hyundai is making some minor changes to some variants of their flagship SUV - Creta.

It is interesting to note that these changes are coming within approx. 6~7 months of a face-lift.

Please refer to the attachment for details of changes

With the launch of Harrier and Kicks, and the upcoming Kia and MG SUVs, I think Hyundai is trying to make sure they don't lose any customers.

One must really compliment the Hyundai team as to how fast they are in reacting to a possible slowdown in sales due to new competition. There are several buyers in the market who will go for a slight face lifted product with a proven track record rather than try something completely new.

The new price list is attached.

Frustrating that the Auto still does not come in the top-end spec:Frustrati:Frustrati

The price list mentons a SX AT Leather Trim, is this Hyundai's trim specification or is it a dealer model. I don't find mention of this trim elsewhere.

Automatic options in the top end variants was highly anticipated since the same were added in Verna recently. It is a bummer that it didn't happen, most probably to keep the prices under a certain territory.
Also, it would be better to introduce the S Variant in the petrol version too. There are a lot customers switching to petrol cars and would prefer a mid equipped version than bare bones E+ and too expensive SX trim (including me).

Cheers!

Hyundai is always proactive to market changes, I really like that philosophy. One has to be adaptive in the current market, to be competitive.

However, the Creta is already overpriced.
IMHO, this car will definitely face some heat after launches of upcoming Tata, MG, Nissan and even from Kia cars.

Good times!

Leather trim is just a dealer model. The same is mentioned in the footnotes of the price list above.

Welcome move !

In a tropical country, ventilated seats would add immense value to the customers (Especially to those who live in coastal ovens like chennai)

Also, can't help but notice that on road price in Bangalore (though with high tax) is around INR 2 million :Shockked:

OT : People are expecting Harrier to be launched @ INR 1.1 million please:

A really smart move from Hyundai. Even when Harrier will be launched, it will be the 4 year old Creta which will still have the class leading features. With all the novelty and the LR underpinnings not withstanding, Creta is still the one to beat and Harrier has its task cut out.

That's because no one is offering a slushbox in this segment, things will change when the upcoming SUVs start offering them. Hyundai will
then neatly launch an AT SX(o) executive with all bells and whistles. Especially with them touted to supply AT boxes to harrier they'll know exactly when it's time.

...!

Not just compact SUVs, people could cross-shop to choose Marazzo. Various benefits apart from just the extra row.

They've gone too far IMHO, guess the Creta would barely ever have bookings for the top end. A Hexa XTA costs 21OTR. Also, many alternatives are all set to storm the market before & during Q2.

+1 to Th!ru.

They do not reveal all cards at once!

I believe, Creta would follow the same pattern as the Verna. They will launch top spec auto variants, but not now! Frustrati:

One more point, child seat anchor and 60:40 seat split were only available in the auto versions! Is it still the case? Why Hyundai? Why?

GrammarNazi, you are absolutely right. I had considered Hexa, when I zeroed on the Creta! (Just few months back!) Overpriced enough to confuse people. :lol

The best thing i like about Creta - Only SUV to come with a proper Automatic (Torque Converter) in Diesel.

Duster and Brezza have AMT, Ecosport doesnt have at all.

Even most of the upcoming SUV will not have an Automatic at Launch. So, if I am in the market for a Diesel Automatic SUV, is there any point in waiting?
