In BLR at least, the VW dealer admitted that RTO will charge on the pre-discounted price but the dealer hinted that they will 'adjust' the extra taxes etc. as additional discount on top of the announced price cut.

Net net, this D2 (offering in MT form) is amazing VFM and stress free ownership for at least 5 years. If I were in the market for such a car, I would not hesitate.

I inquired about this model.
Dealer said that only 60 cars will allotted pan india and they are all already sold out.
It all just looks like a scam by skoda to generate footfalls and nothing else.
At 23.99L ex-showroom it works out to be cheaper than the top spec octavia and anybody with a limited monthly run would buy this model of the superb.
