Maybe Chinese market likes such quirky design. Am sure this will be toned down for Indian market. Else this thing looks hideous

If Hyundai gets this to India, Creta would loose one of its USPs i.e. neutral boxy looks which was liked by one and all.

The new car is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 115 hp, meeting the national six emission standards.

the new Hyundai ix25 adopts the latest family-style front face design, and uses a large number of chrome-plated elements on the mesh grille to enhance the sense of style. At the same time, the new car is also equipped with a split-type headlight group, which is more design.

In the rear part, the new car is designed with an irregular taillight group, and the middle part is penetrated by a light-emitting belt, but it is not a through-type taillight.

For the interior, the new car adopts a more stylish design , and the large beige interior with black/red and chrome-plated embellishment enhances the overall home atmosphere. The central control section is equipped with a large-size screen and is decorated with a large number of painted panels to enhance the sense of technology and style

If that is the interior we are getting then its very good I must say! The design is very fresh and does not follow the current pattern that most cars like Nexon and Ecosport follow these days.

In terms of exteriors, its very cluttered. Too many elements. However if Hyundai manages to remove some of the Chrome bits, the strip above the the logo in the front grille, I think we can have a slightly more acceptable design. On the other hand, the rear is not classy as all. Looks like someone did an aftermarket plastic panel above the tail gate.

They will definitely tone this down for the Indian market. They know it will not be well accepted to the Indian taste buds.

As a owner of this car, the Hectorish full touch screen setup will make me anxious of getting stuck in a remote place with a hanged UI unable to perform vital car functions. Just to hear from the service guys “ oh that just needs a software upgrade”. Car industry why are you shoving electronics down the consumers’ throat knowing how bad they’ve faired in the past.

This Creta is as ugly as it can get. The interiors are a relief though.

Why can't Hyundai take some design cues from Skoda? Such nice elegant and understated cues mixed with over-quirk of Hyundai could yield some nice eye pleasing design.

They weren't ashamed while copying the Audi grill.

Am I the odd one out here to say I don't even like the interior on this hideous car. Looks are subjective I agree but my eyes cannot digest that huge touchscreen and how it's dragged to the center console. But, this is how the future is going to be, it's all about how bigger the touchscreen is and we have to accept it. With EVs coming into field down the line, I believe it will be very hard to spot mechanicals in a car. End of good times is not too far eh?

I personally feel the flowing console looks decent. Yes that touchscreen is way too huge for my liking. I guess the reason the center console doesn't gel in with the dashboard is because the rest of the dash is the typical bland one you seen in any Hyundai all the way till the current tuscon. They did not alter the rest to match with the futuristic center console, hence it looks out of place.

And yes, basic functions should be mechanical.

Somehow I do like the design of the upcoming Hyundai Creta/ix 25 in the production line, its unconventional yes but I do feel it will fit well in the minds of the Indian customers eventually. Especially the interiors doesn't look too busy for my liking & actually looks classy with that floating touch screen and the seats looks premium as well. Hopefully another successful product & am looking forward to it. Its exciting we have so many good choices that is lining up not just in this segment & manufacturers cannot take the Indian buyers for granted anymore either in safety, features or looks.

I do agree! The country that could love the ugly duckling Santro will surely give this one a chance too!

After revealing Verna, now Hyundai unveils the iX25 for China,

The new ix25 will be available in October this year and will be launched in the market in 2020.

Power is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine.

They have done this in the past with Hyundai Kona by launching a special Ironman limited edition. Maybe following a similar trend/deal with Marvel again?

Korean design language had evolved to a very refined level.



This one takes it back to square one. Reminds me of the impossibly ugly Verna facelift (epitome of bad Korean designs)
