Engine sound. The engine tells best when it is possible to change gears!! I always change gears as early as possible to get maximum fuel efficiency

I use engine sound while driving in city. As an aside, I can't imagine anyone looking at tacho while driving in Bangalore traffic.

When on highways with sparse traffic, it is time for pedal to the metal so I start using tacho for gear shifts.

Engine sound for me....it can be because i have driven cars mostly without a Tacho meter....but in cars with Tacho meter i have observed that engine sound is still better....i change gears as soon as i think the engine can pull off well in that gear...i hope its useful in getting good FE.

I always keep an eye on the tacho. The exhaust note excites me so much that I forget that I have to shift to 3rd!!!

Used to check the Tacho during my car's run-in period. After that its only the engine sound

Actually I love my loud V2 Turbo. I can hear it even over my stereo sound

That sound is so musical.
