Are you sure the Red 800 emblem on the grill was a genuine one and not done later? Because I am yet to see any other ss80 with those red emblems.

Thank you both for noticing these small details.
1. The 800 emblem is incorrectly positioned.
2. The 800 on the radiator grill never ever came in red.
As an aside, many people while restoring Maruti Gypsy Kings, place the MG413W and the Gypsy King Sticker on both sides on the vehicle. This is usually done for purposes of symmetry.
However, in reality, when these vehicles rolled out of the factory, the stickers appeared only on the left side of the vehicle.
I used to fancifully think that this quirk was because when the Gypsy overtook another vehicle, the driver of the vehicle being overtaken was left in no doubt whatsoever, that he had been overhauled cleanly, stem to stern, by a Maruti Gypsy King 1.3!:)

What a beautiful piece of eloquent minimalism!
That surely brings back memories. this model was also the first car i owned in college way back in 1999 !!. beautiful time for less than 1 year of ownership.
