If this is new Optra then its bad rather patheitic.

I never liked SRVs front and thats what it seems they are trying to imitate.

Cmmon GM, cars like these need to have broad / bolder headlamps.

One thing for sure lot of action going on for GM ... few cars launched in recent past and now Optra Diesel expected soon.

Any idea if they are coming with Aveo Diesel too ?

Why on earth would they want to spoil the looks of a perfectly good looking car?

Hey BUSA !!

How r u man ?

Aveo with that Fiat diesel engine would be good but with Ford upgrading there existing Fiesta's 1.4 l diesel engine, Aveo diesel may go flat.

Lets c wat happens.
Lots of action here in the Indian Automobile industry.

Hey Namit, I am fine Gods grace.

Fiesta 1.4 will remain and there will be another version with a 1.6 engine. AVEO's wont go flat as the 1.3L JTD engine is a gem.

The Optra diesel is going to be launched in June as per the dealer.

Guys , I dont think its that bad .The whole image of the car has changed from an executive sedan to a more racy look. Interiors have got better except for that wood part below the Speedometer. If they launch it within June at a price of 9lacs GM may do good numbers atleast 1800 a month.

1.6 is not going to launch this year. I know the ford dealer quite well and he said that.

Well, I like it. It's got character now.

The split grille & slimmer headlamps, along with the whole design give it a very mid-90's Monte Carlo-ish feel.

The Diesel I heard is being launched any time now. Mid month it seems. Lets wait and watch. But if it comes with the SRV front look and the 120 BHP engine, would you buy it ?

And what will GM peg the price at ? 10 L ex showroom ?

Wonder what price GM will have a market entry for a diesel would be,especially if they have priced the SRV between 8.5L - 9L something.

Diesel cars cost more upfront anyways !!!

It doesn't look so bad ,maybe they want to add some cheveroletness to the optra. And the interior is much more classy than the previous optra's.
