Optra getting a facelift! EDIT now with spy pics!!

Hey guys, today I spotted an Optra with a disguised front end(I mean, have been spotting it for many days, but got a good look at it today). The front end has been changed to include SRV style headlamps and a different bumper. The interiors are revised too. The sqauare A/C vents are now gone and are replaced by round ones, exactly like in an SRV. The test mule had 15" wheels.
BTW, the diesel Optra is real fast off the line....

Maybe GM is trying to save costs by using similar front fascia for both the SRV and the Optra.

Great News !

Optra with SRV front treatment is going to be a killer ! Translating into a very smart looking sedan, coupled with diesel, should work wonders (maybe) !

Yep, much needed facelift! Sales had steadily declined over to about 400 units a month. Maybe this will reignite it especially with the Diesel!

There was nothing really wrong with the Optra's current styling - except for that grille. Well, if the parent wants to give a chin lift, no complaints.

Can photochop experts create this Optra for Team-Bhp? . BTW, the interiors look less upmarket now.

That may just be the death knell for the SRV,unless GM has other plans for the SRV as well.

With the same level of kit? (Airbag, alloys etc). BTW, I havent seen a single non-test SRV till date.

It was high time they made some changes in a pretty drab looking car, especially the front side. the baleno could swap the back with the optra

imho there is no nedd o change the look of the optra.it looks good as it is.i dont know how well the srv lights will gel with the optra due to it being a sedan.because the headlight on the srv compliment its tailamps as both have curvy designs whereas the optra has squarish taillamps.
