The 2019 Mercedes AMG C43 COUPE
- Launch this month

In terms of design, the exterior of C43 4Matic is more expressive than some of its siblings in the C-Class range. New distinguishing features include the AMG radiator grille with twin louvre in matt iridium silver and the front apron. The side air curtains in the front apron, attachment on the cross fins plus the trim element on the front splitter are finished in silver chrome. At the rear, the two round twin tailpipe trim elements in high-gloss chrome gives a sporty look. The spoiler lip on the boot lid is painted in the vehicle color.

The Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine that now delivers 385 bhp, about 23 bhp more than before. The AMG-tuned motor offers a peak torque of 520 Nm. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph. The motor is mated to an AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission and is assisted by a rear-biased AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive.

The Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe will be priced at around Rs. 75 to Rs. 80 lakh.

Here's the brochure. Not a proper AMG but 6 cylinder and good for 0-100 in 4,7 sec. Fairly equipped and decent price considering its CBU.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG C 43 4MATIC Coupe in India at a price of Rs. 75 lakh (ex-showroom).



The Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Coupe measures 4,693 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,402 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. It is based on the C-Class sedan and features a similar front end with a large grille with a Mercedes-Benz logo in the centre. It has sweptback LED headlamps that have integrated L-shaped LED daytime running lights. The car has an AMG front bumper with larger vents and a wide air dam. At the rear, it has a bumper with a diffuser, quad exhausts, a boot spoiler and LED tail lamps that sit flush with the bodywork. It rides on 18-inch AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels.



On the inside, the AMG C 43 4MATIC Coupe has a similar dashboard to the sedan version. It comes with a 3-spoke AMG steering wheel, sports seats and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, sports exhaust system, 2-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, touchpad controller for the infotainment system and ambient lighting among others.



The Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Coupe is powered by a 2,996cc, V6 biturbo petrol engine that produces 385 BHP @ 6,100 rpm and 520 Nm of torque @ 2,500-5,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The car has a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.

Some of the safety features that are offered as a part of standard equipment in the C 43 4MATIC coupe include Pre-Safe, rear view camera, pedestrian protection with Active Bonnet, Adaptive High beam Assist Plus and rain sensing wipers.

A C43 @ 75L ex-showroom is decent pricing IMO

BMW India caught napping yet again as they are yet to offer 6cyl variant on the 3 series (really hope they do with the upcoming G20)

A smart move by MB india to launch it in coupe form to compete with the Mustang, but the sad part still no fully digital instrument cluster in the 75 lac rupee car.

I really don't think too much of Mercedes launching a CBU every fortnight, but I got to say, this is one good-looking car! And for the performance + CBU import, it's decently priced too. Based on international reviews, I gather that it's very agile and can be fun on a good road.

Stylish option for the handful of buyers considering a coupe.

Looks incredibly yummy in red. 75L isn't a bad price considering it is a cbu loaded to the gills with kit. Its pretty amazing that the mid range performance cars are now near or above 400 HP. Turbo charging has been really beneficial for us petrolheads.

Good looking car, and thank god for small mercies its a CBU. Can't imagine an AMG (even this one with a V6 of commuter origins) with an audible speed warning at 80 kph

If they do they’d have to price it way below the M2,given BMW’s pricing strategy it ain’t gonna be cheap.
The B58 though is one sweet power plant capable of a lot, if launched will be a runaway hit amongst the enthusiasts.

IMO the M340i & the M2 can co-exist together.

In the US market also they (C43 including) are similarly priced around U$ 55k

Also do note in India we get the M2 competition (INR 80L in India) which is aprox USD 5k more expensive than regular M2 which is USD 58k.

So if BMW India launch the M340i it can be priced around 70-75L ex-showroom

The B58 though is one sweet power plant capable of a lot, if launched will be a runaway hit amongst the enthusiasts.

I have gone and booked one yesterday. Will post pics soon. Just deciding on the alloys. there are two options : 18 inch and 19 inch. 19 inch look better.
19 inch specs : 225/40 ZR 19 front & 255/35 ZR 19 Rear
18 inch specs : 225/45 ZR 18 front & 245/40 ZR 18 Rear

Congrats on the booking. Which colour have you opted?

Are they giving RFTs or normal? If you ride on potholed roads, go for 18 inches, it will be practical option but if this is a weekend car then you can go for 19 inches.
