Re: Mahindra Bolero update coming up later in 2019

Looks like the more rugged engined "standard" BOLERO is now getting discontinued. Soon only the 1.5L D powered Power+ Bolero will be sold and the 2.5L D powered regular Bolero will get discontinued.

By the way I didn't know that the Power+75 Bolero is actually nipped and tucked as a Sub4M car and with the 1.5L motor it actually fully qualifies for the Sub4M car category! Mahindra actually has 4 cars in the Sub4M SUV segment then!?

Bolero Power+
NuvoSport
TUV300
XUV300
Wow!

Mahindra has shortened the bonnet in BOLERO pickup, can they do they same in Bolero? would enhance the cramped space inside it for good margin.

It might look very disproportionate (read ugly) in all probability.

Also - they have managed to do this on the pickup. Remember - it has leaf springs for front suspension & thus simpler steering design also & no AC compressor motor, condenser coil to fit in.
In the passenger Bolero, it has a more elaborate front suspension and associated steering gear. It has the option to fit AC which needs space too.

The face looks decent. Hope, Mahindra has at least offered slots for installing a touchscreen infotainment system. AndroidAuto is the need of the hour.

But I believe its high time Mahindra replaces this model with a completely new one.

I guess it is time to give some aerodynamism and balance to Bolero by making it less boxier and changing that top-heavy design.

It is NEVER time to change the Boxy design of Bolero. It is our very own G Wagen.

This is still my personal favorite shape of Bolero.

This will never get old. This is a classic example of true timeless design.

Re: Mahindra Bolero update coming up later in 2019

Original Bolero design looks much better than the later iterations, more so than the latest one.

What it needs is a better designed dash board.

Newer pik up versions have shortened bonnet. But Camper atleast retains the original bonnet. The original one looks more fullsome.

It would have been a compelling choice for us enthusiasts if it had 4x4 transfercase and a Non-Leafspring rear suspension.

My favourite model of Bolero anyday. There was an interview long time ago with a Mahindra executive about why this vehicle is so successful, he said looks are a big part of its success and I totally agree.

The Bolero sportz in dark green with a nice set of alloys, an Mhawk engine or the CRDe would be super cool. I actually found the vehicle to be comfortable even with the leaf springs, it don't bother me at all and the latest power+ is a hoot to drive.

Why Mahindra why??? There really was no need for a new face, we just needed new interiors!

And who started this idiotic trend of family looks resulting in cars losing individuality - at least in terms of looks? And everybody is latching on to this trend as if the world can not differentiate anymore between cars from two manufacturers.

Exactly. Now it looks more like it’s bearing a sad face. Bolero doesn’t love its new face and it’s showing evidently on its bumper design (pun intended)

Smashing looks indeed.

I can't imagine who signs off on these totally unnecesaary "Upgrades". The current face was ugly to begin with and they just made it worse!
This looks more like an effort to justify someone's salary than to sync with the taste of the target clientele
