| ![]() What's with the tail pipe? Looks like an auto-rickshaw! I mean how can it hang so low? Last edited by suhaas307 : 7th September 2019 at 09:46. Reason: Spacing and formatting |

Strange to see such "guesswork" by a reputed publication. The dates for media drive are Oct 3 to 5 which is why the guesswork of the vehicle being launched a day prior. I would go with ACI's estimate of September because Maruti these days launches the car a few days before the media drive. They did that with the Dzire and the WagonR. and yes, 1.2 is what I am also looking forward to. Maruti is yet to upgrade their 1.0 to BS6 as of now. | |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() This being an all new model might also make sense for them to work on Electrification. Compact dimensions, competitive price and the SUV appeal + EV can only mean it might be the perfect cuppa people are looking for. Maruti, think about it !! I really loved the Honda Urban EV concept and this might just be Maruti's answer. Last edited by rajshenoy : 5th August 2019 at 15:36. |

| ![]() The side profile eeks of an entry level hatch, especially the old-school door handles and puny tyres. Chunkier tyres should be offered, atleast on the top-spec trim. |

| ![]() Maruti's volume woes are not going to be addressed any time soon. Even if this car is in a volume segment, the odd looks means it doesn't warrant much sales for Maruti. It can become another Ignis at the maximum, Imo. Also, the other new launch XL6 may attract some sales from Ertiga and other MPVs, not from the Cretas. They need a good SUV to compete against Creta and the upcoming Seltos. Last edited by romeomidhun : 5th August 2019 at 21:50. |

| ![]() I thought this would make sense for those residing in the hilly terrain (like in Kerala), but they already have an Eeco (with rwd, so much better). |

| ![]() Maruti's Creta and Seltos fighter will be the next-gen Vitara that is still some time away. This xpresso or S-Presso, whatever that is, will be a chintu so-called slightly raised hathcback to take on the Kwid. Basically a poor man's ignis. |

| ![]() Spotted this during my office commute, near Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon. Key takeaways: -> Car was zipping past with ease, to me, it suggests good low-end torque (1.2 L K-Series engine maybe?). -> Car looks disproportionate. Could not click a snap of the interior, but the instrument cluster was centrally mounted. Looked hideous to me! -> It was spacious, and in all probability, this is the production version. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() The car looks so tall that it can accommodate a battery pack close to the floor pan and run as either a hybrid or even a plug in hybrid when the need arises! With cladding on it's hard to say how it will turn out, appearance wise. |
