| ![]() Went to Indus and Hercules dealers in Trivandrum. Both of them don't even have a display car to show prospective customers. Only customer cars are being delivered apparently. Absolutely not interested in follow up or chasing. Guess there is good demand for the product or there is nothing to sell in stock? |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Drove the New S-Presso few days back, it was the Pearl Starry Blue shade, VXi+ AMT variant. My take on this car: 1. Looks much better and normal in person. 2. Interior has good space for all occupants. 3. View from driver seat is fantastic, has that SUVish view. 4. Compared to Kwid, the K10 engine is a gem. Didn't like the AMT though. It's way too laggy. 5. Brakes are excellent. 6. Rear visibility is severely hindered. 7. AC is decent for front passengers, not so good for the rear ones. 8. While ride is decent, the handling isn't good at all. Expected for such a narrow and tall car. The car is in good demand, and many Alto and WagonR 1.0L customers are switching to the S Presso. Accessories are a must to make it look decent. Some pics and video I took: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I deliberately took this pic, and the S presso looked super weird. However, in person it didn't look so abnormal. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Infractions: 0/1 (7) | ![]() Today saw an S-presso on road. For my eyes it's better looking and has good presence that the new Wagon R. MS designers would've kept Kwid as benchmark while designing this entry level hatchback. But Kwid has gone few steps ahead with facelift. |

| ![]() My FIL in Rourkela has booked one in OCT and I'm really looking forward to sitting in this one in December (yea, I'm a good boy I go visit). Would be able to give my 2 cents then. As per him, imagine the hummer that's shruken in size and tadaa - you have the S-presso! LOL |

That sure looks weird. One can be easily convinced that the SPresso is added there by a Photoshop job & the artist got proportions wrong. It is looking surprisingly small in comparison to the other 2 in all dimensions. Some of it may be due to the wider angle coverage of modern phone camera lenses. Still. I was taken aback by how small its looking there. Especially since some previous pictures with it besides a Brezza didn't look that bad from a size perspective! And yes - the car sure looks better in person. I don't know why its this pronounced in Spresso's case. Others tend to be similar to pictures in person also!

Where are these 10000 odd cars though...Sure this is the wholesale number, but at least some should be visible on the streets after retail. None are!

![]() A car selling 1000 units per month for 5 years (total: 60K on road) will be more visible than a car selling 10000 units for 2 months (total: 20K on road). I also didn't like its looks but car is doing well in dealerships. Accepting the facts and moving forward.

I pass 3 showrooms daily & not a single TD car, not a single delivery vehicle. Even Diwali came & went. I have seen a LOT of new cars with ribbons in office parking as expected, but no SPresso in that bunch either. I'm just not able to understand why there are none visible on the streets. It is a genuine query I asked. Last edited by Reinhard : 5th November 2019 at 15:10.

I always wanted to add a point here. The 5000 odd units in Sept 2019 would be the display cars for all those 3.5k or say 2k showrooms. The 10000 odd units will be 5 cars for each showroom(considering 2k showrooms) out of which 2 will be for TDs. I guess that the Test Drive vehicles for the S-Presso are dispatched now only. This also goes with the fact that people here stated that they could not get TDs when they visit Arena. This can be one of the reasons why I cannot get to see an S-Presso. I have seen the facelifted Kwid on the other hand and I saw a test drive vehicle 2 weeks back when I went to service my Triber. Maruti surely has an upper hand on the sales every month, one of the reasons is because of the network they have!

We have no plans to change our car due to multiple issues right now. Still I called up my dealer to ask for a test drive. I was informed that the TD car is not yet registered so it's not possible to get a test drive. He even said that whatever allotment they had is all sold off and currently there is a waiting of around 2 weeks. So that does mean this car has clicked with the masses.
