I read it on this thread Nexon would get their Design 2.0 in line with Harrier & Altroz design isn’t it?

They didn’t really have to camouflage the test mule shown above as their grille has Tata monicker and the car is extremely familiar with every Indian now

I liked the new steering design and hope the JTP rumors are true. Nexon deserves the push as it’s a nice car.

Nexon JTP rumour is just that. There won't be a Nexon JTP for sure. You just can't get the drive dynamics out of it. Plus that is something I have informal confirmation of.

Pratap Bose had confirmed there will be no Nexon JTP at the Pune meet. So its the new feature additions for now, then design 2.0 and straight to Electric - for the Nexon.

It would be nice if there was a JTP version but the bigger question is whether people would actually buy one. Tiago and Tigor JTP alone don't sell much, how would the Nexon fare? Simply wouldn't be justified to spend money on its development when no one will buy it.

If the bonnet shape indeed is going to be like this - conventional without the headlamp cluster (indicators) being scooped out of it - its going to look 100 times better than the current one.

I never liked the current indicator position. It looks sporty alright, but makes the Nexon look a bit too young. This design philosophy will suddenly make it look more butch & mean. I hope this facelift also brings in HID lamps in the XZ/XZ+ trims at least.

WOWZERRR!! already looks better. I have a couple of ideas on my head of how this will turn out after looking at this photo, and all of them end up making it more butch.

Does this mean the quirky (to me) indicator position is gone from the bonnet?

2020 is too late, they should bring it right away! Unless engine and gear trains are being upgraded for BS6.

Nexon is a fantastic vehicle. If they can get a nice proper AT into this, I would seriously consider this car.

Indicators, I agree. Hope it doesnt start to look like a Brezza instead.

However I hope you are not looking at the two raised patches on the bonnet or the grille - these are just temp pieces below the stickers to aid the camouflage


But then, where are they indicators ? The part where indicators are currently, has a different pattern camouflage sticker in this pic

Looks like Tata wants my money again If they manage to reduce the Curves on the design and give it well tuned autobox I might swap my ride for this.

In fact - the subtly visible scoops and sclupted out areas around the fog lamps are giving a striking Brezza vibe!

Yes absolutely they are for hiding real shape. Wasn't refering to those.

Yes I was wondering so too regarding the turn indicators, had noted the different camo in the current indicator place. Infact - there are no indicators visible at all. How is this car "legally" on the street in that case? even a test mule must have all regulatory fixtures in place.

I'll be surprised if they actually change the bonnet design around the indicator to be honest. Sheet metal changes for a 2 year life refresh is not something we see often in India. I hope they don't botch it up with some plastic pieces - like Mahindra did with the Scorpio's tail lamp cluster & D pillar over 2-3 iterations.

Interestingly it also has a tow hook attached. Seems it needed some help somewhere along the journey .

I'm confused. The test mule spotted here looks different on the bonnet shape than the other ones. This one looks spot on. This is exactly what I had in mind while I bought my Nexon. I wished they designed the bonnet shape this way at first. Wonder why the other camouflaged ones still have the older headlights??

Isn't a gearbox change highly unlikely for a facelift?
