I do think Nexon should scale up sans the weird rear. Also, as an owner of Zest since 2014, I feel it has less space inside compared to Zest. External dimensions may be larger, width wise, but internal space mater's, too.

My hunch on why Nexon is loosing steam is the impending launch of a new one. Also, the newer ones have fresh looks.

Tata should address these

Could this be the ZipTron EV?

In the image, only Nexon spy car is very distinct in that the grille area is covered with camo material.

New spy images float again

Launch is expected to take place at 2020 Auto Expo in Feb next year.

Pics reveal a redesigned front section that includes an updated bonnet, new bumper design, re-profiled fog lamp units and new headlights with DRLs. Front grille has also been updated, which is now sportier and looks similar to that of Harrier. Lower bumper features a design which was seen on the Tata H2X concept’s tail light LED DRL.

Tata Nexon spied with some minor design element changes.

The front fascia of the Nexon facelift is hidden but hints at a new design for the headlamps. A new grille can also be seen sporting multiple star-like elements on the bottom part. The upper part of the front grille will likely feature a fat chrome strip bearing the logo of the Indian carmaker. The car retains the overall design and proportions.

According to recent spy shots, it seems that designers at Tata have taken cues from discovery sport for front end or atleast the headlamp design appears heavily inspired.

In fact, with these recent spy shots entire front end design looks in line with discovery sport. And if this is the case, it is going to be a rather better looking if not the best looking C-SUV (assumption purely based on the careful observation of spy shots).

The front looks excellent! Hope they tweak the rear also, I personally am ok with the rear, but many people I know absolutely hate the design. Hope they launch the facelift with BS6 engines.

I don't think the rear is going to be changed. Some test mules have only frontal part camouflaged and the rear looks as it is now. I'm personally alright with the rear too maybe living with one daily started to grow on me. Yes the facelift will be coming with BSVI engines, hence the rigorous testing at high altitudes.

The new design might look classy, very proportionate. The headlamp design look very Outlander-ish.
But it will lose the the quirkiness, which made Nexon stand out, for good or bad.
