I think Tata is creating room to price the Altroz and ensure there is minimum pricing overlap between the new car and Nexon. While it cannot be completely avoided, no point in having your two most anticipated launches cannibalising each others sales.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift spied. EDIT: Launched at Rs 6.95 lakh

Absolutely love the latest make over! Tata managed to give Nexon a more mature look.

However, now that I get to compare the price with the rest of the competitors, top end brim is getting into XUV300 and EcoSport territory might not be a good sign. Goes on to show how manufacturers gradually increase the product pricing as the demand grows.

But selling a 12L ex showroom Nexon when you can get more bling for the same money by picking up an EcoSport with almost the same amount of money will pull the prospects the other way.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift spied. EDIT: Launched at Rs 6.95 lakh

Once upon a time I remember Nexon as the cheapest offerings and now we have Nexon as the costliest offering. What a transformation! XUV 300 and Nexon AMT will retail almost for 16lacs! Unfortunate to see such a price for a sub 4-meter car with AMT.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift spied. EDIT: Launched at Rs 6.95 lakh

Everything is good about the facelifted Nexon, especially the build and safety, but the AMT transmission for higher spec variants looks out of place and pricey. Also, does the automatic misses out on hill hold feature? Doesn't Venue DCT and Ecosport automatic look value for money when compared to Nexon higher varient AMTs?

Are these the BS6 prices for all models?

Will we see the segment grow pricier as a whole?

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift spied. EDIT: Launched at Rs 6.95 lakh

I think they are getting a bit too ambitious with this pricing. I don't think the top end Nexon is on par with XUV300 which comes with 7 airbags and even better safety ratings. It should be half a lakh below XUV300 in pricing. Otherwise why would anyone buy a Nexon over XUV300 ? Venue and Ecosport also comes with six airbags. I am sure all of us will prefer an air cushion when compared to tougher steel in the event of an accident.

Looks like they want to show that there isn't much gap between Nexon ICE and Nexon EV. The pricing is too optimistic, Tata is giving the haters more chances to play it down.

Only Nexon and Ecosport are bs6 I think, it's not fair to compare bs6 models pricing with bs4 models.

https://www.autocarindia.com/car-new...95-lakh-415648

*Autocar, as usual, didn't mention that some models are bs4 while Nexon and Ecosport are bs6 which is an intentional crime in my opinion.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift spied. EDIT: Launched at Rs 6.95 lakh

Now that we have the features, facelfit, BSVI engines, should we not be paying more for Nexon facelift when compared to competition?

Venue, Brezza and I think XUV300 (Diesel) still are not BSVI compliant. Their prices will only go up further whatever it may be.

We demand safety, features, connected technology and what not in our cars. Now that it's there and the prices have gone up, we are unable to digest, including myself. A compact SUV costing 14lacs in Bangalore. Phew, have to come to terms with it.

I hope Maruti knows what they're doing and price the Petrol Brezza competitively.

Diabolical reporting!

What is the point of comparing BS6 models against BS4 models from rivals?

It will be difficult to compare value unless all BS6 prices are out.

In today's scenario, a customer is not mandated to buy a BS 6 vehicle and as such nothing wrong in the chart.
Post BS6 implementation the price tracker will be invalid.

Yes the customer is not mandated to buy BS6, but publishing comparison chart without a mention of BS4 and BS6 is wrong.

In that case wouldn't a comparison of BS4 cars suffice, or at the very least highlight which is BS4 and those that are BS6.

If mods want to remove it, then it's fine. But I rather we show at least the EcoSport and Nexon. At this point, Ecosport has suddenly become VFM. Kudos to Ford for pulling this off. I can only hope that they see sense and reintroduce sync 3 in titanium plus variants atleast.
