Great AD. Unfortunately again more confusion. This AD also says the car has 110 PS power for both petrol and diesel. Unless there is a mistake because it was in a single line.

The Nexon 2020 Petrol seems to be an excellent choice. The power train is awesome and the features list is long. The safety features are available in all the variants and this is a great offering from Tata motors. The car feels solid to the touch.
I am going to take a serious look this year; wondering if I should go for the middle variant and save a bit or go for all the bells and whistles given that I keep cars for a long time.

I am running a pre facelift Nexon petrol, manual transmission for the last 6 months. Till date and close to 10,000kms its been trouble free. It is the XM variant.

You get all the safety essentials as well as a decent sounding music system.
Some of the significant things that you do not get are the touch screen thingamajig, alloy wheels and a rear wash-wipe.

The 16-inch steel wheels with slightly taller profile rubber actually delivers a slightly cushier ride compared to the lower profile tyres shod on the alloy wheel variants.
The rear wash-wipe is sorely missed, as the band-aid thin, rakish rear windscreen attracts dirt and muck like a bee to a beehive!

If you are not overtly bothered about the above, the XM represents serious value for money.

Take a look at it before you finally decide.

My vote goes for the top trim, especially since you're going to keep it for a long time. The Nexon's top trim is future proof, I don't see anything major missing.

Features like Apple CarPlay/Android Auto for example, you'll sorely miss these. I didn't know how badly I wanted this until I experienced it firsthand. Result? I spent 28k upgrading my Vento's HU. Rain sensing wipers, sunroof etc. You might not need them right now, but if in the future you do, you'll not even be able to retrofit these things.

If you can afford it, it's better to have and not need than to need and not have

Yes they seem to be wondering what to mention, 110 or 120!



Few Other things i noticed

Nexon could have benefited from the dashboard lighting like the Altroz. Why don't they give the A/C control display separately still, leaves an empty slab of scratchy piano black plastic.



The meters are a bit too big, losing one of those fat fuel bars will lead to abrupt change in display scenery. Also, why the TATA Motors old-school text?

and the since control stalks are not steering mounted, it will be fidgety to access.

Slight correction, in case of Nexon all the variants get 16 inch wheels (whether alloy or steel rim). The alloy variants get 215/60 R16 tires & the steel rim variants get 195/60 R16 tires, so the alloy variant actually has a taller tyre (compared to the steel rim variants) & should have a more cushy ride quality.

One exception is XMA variant. Even though it got steel rims, it comes with 215/60 R16 Tyres.

Tata Nexon gets new XZ+(S) variant priced from Rs 10.10 lakh. It costs about 30,000 less than the XZ(O) trim and gets the addition of a sunroof, among other additional equipment over the XZ+ trim.
