Very true. I've always felt this "new look" looks one generation older than the current one.

the 1.5 (minus the vgvt) is good for 87 bhp

Verna engine is still not localised, and is brought in... So, rule out the possibility... However, the 1.5 in the accent could find its way into the Getz...
The 1.5 diesel minus the vgvt is the same thing found on the accent crdi, the only difference being that the accent crdi is 3 cylindered.Whether the getz will be three or four cylindered dont know.
However as discussed on another thread Hyundai do have 1.1 L diesel engines too and those could be cheaper and more fuel efficient.

i think the accent crdi was or is a three cylinder engine where as the one in the getz crdi will be a four cylinder one producing 87bhp, detuned for mileage from 107bhp..... delivering bout 25kmpl! ideal driving conditions!

Infractions: 0/1 (10)

from what i read, the rear tail lamps will also be restyled.and i dont think hyundai will give the getz the 3 pot 1.5ltr crdi because then it wont be able to qualify for the excise cut.
what is sure is that the next few months are going to be a "fiesta" for the consumer.

And to add to it... The new 1.5 four cylinder engine is still not being produced in India... It is brought in...

So, dont think the price will be too competitive...

(using the accent motor is also not sensible, as it wont qualify for tax cuts)
