Hi Rajat,
My cousin also got a white L&K 1.8 octavia last month for 25l on road in delhi. Its a gem of a car. If having an SUV isn't a must for you, the digital cockpit and park assist are amazing features to have. And even though the new octavia is launching end of this year, the old one still has great road presence and doest look like an old car form any angle.

If I am not mistaken, only AWD versions of the T-Roc have independent rear suspension.

I think the pricing is very good for a CBU.

Volkswagen finally have hit the sweet spot with the T-Roc pricing. I can't remember the last time a car from Volkswagen was priced this well! Or is it their first time?

Slightly off topic - I noticed that it was mentioned Vienna leather seats in their website.
Could someone throw some light as to why it is called so? Is there anything to do with the place itself?

Even though the pricing is great, and better than what people were expecting after the Tiguan All Space launch, being a CBU the car will have some features which will not make much sense in India. Like the heated seats, when most of India will prefer cooled seats over it.

Even having the height adjustable boot floor probably means there is no spare (not sure?), wheel which people will prefer here.

But its still great car for that price and personally I find its simpler design be much better looking than the Creta or even the Seltos. Would love to have it as and probably choose it over all others when I replace my Polo next year.

I don't know. I did book one but at 19.99 it will be ~23 on road. I'm not convinced why I would pick this over a Compass and though it's launched today - none of the Gurgaon dealerships have cars for TD/display to help make up my mind.

Killer pricing!! And with all the bells and whistles - really fab job by VW!

My Duster is not up for an upgrade, else I would have loved to buy this!
I might still buy one if the T-BHP review insists!

T-Roc India Brochure attached. It says it has multilink suspension - great for comfort if not a typo.

Absolutely brilliant pricing, keeping in mind it's immediate competitors. The engine has also got rave reviews from various auto bloggers. Personally, this would be my pick in the segment, eyes closed. Just love the compact design and clean typical VW design elements.

The pricing is quite good, given that it's a CBU.
Considering the superb levels of equipment it offers, it is not a bad deal.

It is priced squarely against the Jeep Compass Limited 1.4 AT & the Tucson petrol AT.

In my opinion, VW should have localized this and offered entry level variants also.
This would have kept the entry price low, and would have got people into the showrooms.

It's a bit larger than the old and the existing Creta.

Below are the dimensions as per VW India Website:
Length (mm) 4342

Width (mm) 1819

Height (mm) 1573

Wheelbase (mm) 2590

Overall a good package, rear lights is kinda similar to pre facelift Creta, isn't it? Could we expect R-line variant in coming days?
R-line steering looks spectacular -

I think people within this price bracket would love some exclusivity and bringing it via CBU does just that. The exclusivity, build, performance and safety over it's competitors (like Seltos, Creta etc) does justify the price premium of 2.5 to 3 lakhs for the T Roc.

This seems to be a typo. The actual length is 4234mm according to other sources.

I am referring to VW India website, in addition to the VW India provided brochure.
It could either be a Typo on VW India's part, OR this particular version of T-Roc is longer than the one available in UK.
Anyways, I think media reviews etc. should clear up the matter.
