While at this price range the T-ROC is sure to sell out in no time, I do imagine that it will be somewhere in the range of 25-28 L. Would be happy to be proven wrong though. The opportunity is indeed limited, but I wonder how well they are prepared with stocking sufficient spares and training staff. What with only 2500 units on offer, dealerships may themselves be wary of going overboard with promotions, training and service. Last edited by vb-san : 18th February 2020 at 16:59. Even though your argument has merit, that can be said for any luxury car which moves in low volumes. The bigger worry is still the VFM quotient of this car. |

Spares are going to be expensive since there is barely any scope for localisation and part sharing, what to talk of long wait times for replacements. VW's strategy to bring the T-Roc is a stop-gap arrangement until the A0 IN line starts rolling out cars. Of course, this does not take anything away from the fantastic package the car, per se, is. | ![]() Source - https://www.volkswagen.co.in/en/models/t-roc.html VW have started accepting the bookings for T-Roc . Pleasantly surprised to see that. ![]() Finally a competent new product from VW . Hope the market doesn't disappoint them. https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attac...971762&thumb=1 Just follow Hyundai Strategy . Launch at a killer price and then silently increase every 3 months rather than optimistic pricing. Eventhough i am disappointed with VW approach towards India in bringing no new products over the last many years but appreciate the fact that they didnt abandon the country and are trying something out here. Alles Gute Volkswagen |

| ![]() Bookings are open they say on the website but for T Roc there is no mention of how much power the engine produces. All it says is its 1.5L. On what basis is anyone supposed to book it ? ![]() For Tiguan Allspace, it says it's 190 HP. Last edited by Aditya : 21st February 2020 at 18:37. Reason: Grammatical error. Thanks. |

Compass top end comes with 4X4, rear independent suspension etc. T Roc may be comparable to the petrol version (Limited Plus?) which is 21 ex showroom (Bangalore) |

BHPian | ![]() Although desirable, the T-Roc in 2020 comes across as a product past the mid point of its life cycle. We deserved this model earlier. Hope the T-Roc for India gets cylinder deactivation technology and the latest VAG infotainment system atleast |

| ![]() Although these are CBU units being brought in, just for the record, does anyone know if the Virtual Cockpit will be offered? IIRC the demo unit at the AutoExpo had traditional instrument displays. Curiously, the virtual cockpit finds prominent marketing space for various other models but isn't being pushed on their site for the T-Roc - which btw seems awfully bland on the India site. |

I guess it will have the DQ200 Gearbox as it does not get AWD and therefore no need for the DQ380/DQ500. The DQ200 gearbox has a torque limitation of 250 NM. The previous 1.4 TSI was tuned only to a higher 150 HP and 250 NM guise in the Octavia and A3 but I think we will see two times including a lower 130 HP tune of the new 1.5 TSI in the MQB A0 IN vehicles. | |
