re: Maruti Vitara Brezza 1.5L petrol. Edit: Launched at Rs 7.34 lakh

In the segment where Brezza plays, all other options are mostly AMTs. Only venue is a proper automatic. Also, Maruti knows that even if they start selling cars with tyres as additional accesories, people will still buy their cars. The multiple engine gearbox option which you are probably talking about is for Seltos which is a segment higher.

For me, the only reason why I'd consider the Brezza is because it's got a good Safety rating, and I need an automatic. I'm hoping they price it below 10 lacs and have automatic across top 2 variants.

A week more and we should get more info during the expo.

Updated Brezza, likely to be the mid variant in pic (VXI),

Quote:
the top-end variant gets a new set of five-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels as well as a different headlamp cluster.
Quote:
The engine will come mated to either a 5-speed manual as standard or a 4-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.

Looks like cooked up spy shots to me. Either ways its the base model. But the same OLD steering wheel, door pad switches, dash et all...come on Maruti. This car deserves at least a better steering wheel.

Can't make out major changes in the interior, or is it because it's a mid spec variant? The fabric on seats and door pads seem to be different. Cant make out if the instrument cluster is different. Don't see any other major difference. The good old window switch continues

Looks like mainly due to absence of fog lamps and alloys. Also to note are the previous generation headlamps.

The auto folding mirrors are present as well and yes, the good old window switches continue. I would have loved them to give the mirror controls on the door pad like Swift and Wagon R rather than on the switch area.

I guess the indicators have been placed vertically. Or are they DRLs?

I do see automatic AC in this variant which is VXi in all probability.

Should be indicators as the HL unit of this variant is the same one which came on Z variants earlier, projectors with halogens. A nice way of ensuring supply of parts, I'd say!

Also this strip wasn't present on the earlier set of front scoop pictures, which was a higher variant. They'll probably have it inside the HL cluster itself.

Shashi

re: Maruti Vitara Brezza 1.5L petrol. Edit: Launched at Rs 7.34 lakh

I think Maruti is following the strategy similar to what they did to facelifted Baleno.

Mid variants, with light guides and projectors.

Delta and Zeta in Baleno have projectors with light guides, whereas alpha has proper DRLs with LED projectors. In Brezza’s case probably similar strategy for VXi and ZXi.

+1
They should have atleast gone with the steering wheel from swift/dzire/ertiga which IMHO looks way better and premium than the one provided

Will Maruti also disclose pricing or will they just show the car on 6th Feb?

Guess it will just be an unveil. The actual launch is supposed to happen later. Deliveries are expected to start around March first week.
