From what @Volkman10 mentioned earlier, Media drive is 26-27 February, Goa. So its going on. Some cars have already reached dealer yards by the looks of it.

Nice comparo of the hottest segment in Indian Automobile scenario

However, Brezza's engine is NA engine and not TC.
IIRC, the XZ Variant of Nexon does get body coloured mirrors.

Ok I did not see any posts about this in social media from any of the reviewers so far, so not sure if its really happening now.

Also some of the Bangalore dealers are not sure when the car will reach them.

My Bad, its a typo error for TC, yes its definitely a naturally aspirated engine.

Re: Maruti Vitara Brezza 1.5L petrol. Edit: Launched at Rs 7.34 lakh

I have my own doubts for this car, not sure how much it will be accepted on petrol only Avatar, period. Maruti missed many things here, from Diesel only to Petrol only is a big blunder i guess. Also they missed the chance to make it more attractive, this is just a minor, boring face lift. Look at Nexon, it looks much better, macho in new Avatar and has more powerful engine as well. Pricing of BS6 Brezza is also on higher side and I think it's costly by 70-80K. I will be really surprised if Maruti can achieve half sales of what they are currently doing. Bring on Diesel ASAP Maruti.

For guys still doubting the mass-pull of tVitara Brezza(P), here it is!

If this is the response Brezza petrol is getting, than its big reason to worry. 10000 bookings in 20 days far a car which clocks 10k units month after month is nothing to write home. I foresee decent discounts coming on this one in no time for the price it has been launched and also the absence of diesel variant.

True. Also most of those bookings are those which have been converted from Diesels. The whole 10k booking isn't new. The ground reality is that people have booked but everyone is doubtful about initial torque and mileage and hence the figure will vary once TD starts.

Good numbers for a facelift within three weeks, but, the original launch had 25000 bookings just within a week.

Re: Maruti Vitara Brezza 1.5L petrol. Edit: Launched at Rs 7.34 lakh

Let the initial air around the launch settle down. In past 2 days I've spoken to 4 dealers across 3 cities and they all agree that the pricing, especially for the Auto is way higher. Infact an SA who was frank with me shared that customers are withdrawing the initial bookings and it's difficult to justify the inflated price tags.

Dear Tata, Ford, if you'll don't use this opportunity to capture a bigger share in this segment, then you'll deserve to be where you'll stand.

So, I am quite sure Brezza in petrol-only guise would also do well just as Baleno is. Who knows, it may even eat into Baleno sales to some extent.
For smaller cars like Baleno, petrol sells more. But as we go towards bigger cars, diesel is more dominant
XUV Diesel sells more than Petrol
Verna diesel sells more than Petrol
Creta Diesel sells more than Petrol

Maruti has lost the plot with their stories about diesel engines becoming more expensive to the point of being unmanageable. Egg on the face after Hyunda launched a 1.2 L diesel at 15 K INR extra.

In today's world, if you don't invest in R&D you are dead. Maruti is suffering due to lack of investment in engines of diesel

Is this a mistake in the brochure? I think Suzuki TECT is a term used for vehicles on HEARTECT platform.

Re: Maruti Vitara Brezza 1.5L petrol. Edit: Launched at Rs 7.34 lakh

From what I recollect having read, the TECT platform is shared by Ignis, Baleno & Brezza. This is the platform that got Brezza it's 4 stars. Dzire, Swift, etc all got the Heart attack platform that gave it 2 stars.

Last edited by GTO : 27th February 2020 at 08:01. Reason: 2 stars, not 3
