re: Maruti Vitara Brezza 1.5L petrol. Edit: Launched at Rs 7.34 lakh

An SA from Sai Service Andheri called and said the Auto will be priced higher than the current outgoing AMT variants. I think Nexon pricing has given a lot of bandwidth to Maruti to price Brezza at a much premium than what it deserves.

Expect the Auto to be priced at a huge premium over the Manual. I'm expecting price difference between the two to be over 1.5 lacs, atleast. In other cars, premium is around a lac or so. But Brezza AT will also have the Smart Hybrid hardware which is quite expensive.

The MRP of MGU unit is around Rs. 45k while the Li Battery unit costs upwards of Rs. 50k. I agree these are MRP and cost to Maruti will certainly be lower. Still they are expected to put an impact on the difference between MT and AT variants.

Regards,
Shashi

Does anyone else find the new grill too tacky?

And the prices have got to be considerably less now, given the reduction in mileage from the diesel variant. If they price it close to the current levels, I can see people who otherwise wouldn't look beyond a Maruti car exploring their options.

Does this have led lights or projectors? The white ones or the yellow ones? And yes the vxi really is decently loaded. After market alloys and good tweeters will almost complete the package for anyone on a tight budget, like me ;-)

I would not know about the engine's performance, but the interiors are extremely disappointing. The Venue, the Xuv-300, and Nexon are much better to look at, inside and out. In my opinion, this is a joke of a facelift.

I do. I think many more would too. It looks so after-market already that accessory makers would have a hard time to design something after-market . It looks plain ugly to me. The Brezza is a very neutral & understated design actually. I liked it always. This chrome grille garnish is just insulting the design!

I don't think any other car's head unit looks as after-market as this specimen. Not even the GO.

As far as I have read & heard - its LEDs in dual projectors. Which is a segment first for sure.

Yes VXi as usual is the sweet spot package from Maruti for Indian customers. I expect to see a lot of these on the streets like the mid variant Cretas. Especially in semi urban areas. Cars running a lot of after-market accessories, sun films, premium alloy wheels, graphics. Absolutely tastefully done up (and taking overall price near the Z trim). But - without the crucial rear wipe and wash. I'm assuming it will be in Z trims only. I wish it starts from VXi.

re: Maruti Vitara Brezza 1.5L petrol. Edit: Launched at Rs 7.34 lakh

New Brezza Petrol launched at 7.34L.

LXi – Rs 7.34 lakh

VXi – Rs 8.35 lakh

VXi AT (Smart hybrid) – Rs 9.75 lakh

ZXi – Rs 9.10 lakh

ZXi AT (Smart Hybrid) – Rs 10.50 lakh

ZXi+ – Rs 9.75 lakh

ZXi+ (Dual-tone) Rs 9.98 lakh

ZXi+ AT (Smart Hybrid) – 11.15 lakh

ZXi+ AT (Smart Hybrid + Dual Tone) – Rs 11.40 lakh

*all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi

AT costs around 1.4L over the MT variant, even though it is a TC and comes with Smart Hybrid. Also, Brezza is costlier than Nexon and Venue by a big margin, even if it comes with a bigger engine and the associated tax difference.

Will it survive with the Petrol only avatar in the BS-6 era? Let's wait and see.

Maruti Suzuki launches Vitara Brezza, priced from Rs 7.34 lakh

Quote:
New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki on Monday, has launched the new Vitara Brezza in India at a starting price of Rs 7.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The compact SUV is priced up to Rs 11.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The all-new Vitara Brezza will be available in three new dual-tone colour options - Sizzling Red with Midnight Black roof, Torque Blue with midnight Black roof and Granite Grey with Autumn Orange roof, informs the automaker.

The SUV was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 with a revised design and new 1.5-litre K-series BS-VI petrol engine. The SUV will be offered with options of both 5-speed manual gearbox and advanced automatic transmission. Also, the SUV gets a smart hybrid technology as well.

Commenting on the launch of the new Vitara Brezza, Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Our customers are evolving and so are their aspirations. Vitara Brezza has evolved to become a highly powerful brand over the past 4 years. Keeping up with its strong, urban and premium appeal, the all-new Vitara Brezza is bolder, sportier and more powerful."

He also said, "We are confident that the all-new Vitara Brezza will take forward the rich legacy of its predecessor with overwhelming customer response.”

Launched in 2016, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has given the brand a stronghold in the compact SUV segment. It has sold more than 5 lakh units since launch, claims Maruti Suzuki. The compact SUV competes with rivals like Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta.

It competes with the Duster, Creta says the article. And not with the Nexon, XUV300, Venue apparently.
