Re: Rumour: Skoda Kodiaq to get 1.5L petrol engine option

Kodiaq is a great vfm car and I personally like it more than fortuner/endeavour but I don't think that there will be many takers of a petrol suv in that price range. It will be interesting to note how market will react to such a change and how only petrol option can affect sales of once a really successful car.

Well, In terms of weight the AllSpace is not much off the normal Tiguan TDI here and the added length in the AllSpace makes it airy and nice. Not to forget the huge boot space.

The car sold very well when they started giving small discounts from Diwali time onwards. And when you mean it has a 2L thirsty motor, a buyer who could afford a car of this caliber. I'm sure he/she can pay gas bills.

We recently picked up an AllSpace as well and it's been giving 9-11 in the city and 14-15 on highways, which is not bad given the size and punch it packs.

You may be biased towards the Kodiaq as an owner and me towards the AllSpace as an owner likewise. End of the day, they are what they are and there's customers for both of VAG's offerings.

Does anyone have an Idea for the KODIAQ 2.0 TSI release dates and EX-SHOWROOM prices?

Long wait ... but new facelift is seen testing and maybe we will get it in India along with rest of the world. If so it would be great on behalf of Skoda to bring in fresh models to India.

Re: Rumour: Skoda Kodiaq to get 1.5L petrol engine option

First he said q1, then June and now it's Q3. Kodiaq launch is getting way too delayed!! While they may get good volume bookings in the first couple of months, I doubt if they will be able to maintain the momentum, especially looking at how Allspace sales evolved

Re: Rumour: Skoda Kodiaq to get 1.5L petrol engine option

I know the 2.0L TSI engine is superb from VAG group. But I don't see this car selling more than double digit figures thanks to triple digit fuel prices across many parts of country and single digit fuel economy this car is going to return due to its massive size. VAG must bring their diesel engines back to stay on game. Atleast for a car which costs north of 30L.

I don't think this is the Kodiaq version that is coming to India, we are getting the facelift which might have similar or better features, let's hope we get updated interior now.

Minor exterior changes include bigger grille and rear roof spoiler, new head and tail lights. Major revisions should be exclusive to the interior.

As seen from the teaser, the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq SUV now features a more upright and hexagonal front grille. The LED headlamps on either side are now slimmer with integrated LED DRLs. Skoda has also updated the C-shaped LED tail lights on the new Kodiaq, which now feature crystalline structures, adding to its overall appeal.

The interior of the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq is also expected to get subtle updates and revisions. It will come with an optional 7-seat configuration, while also receiving a number of new features and equipment as well.

The Skoda Kodiaq was first introduced in 2016, and has registered sales of over 6 lakh units globally. It is said to be one of the most successful SUV models for the brand and is now currently on sale in 60 countries across the globe.
