Most probably similar as there is not much demand for 4x4 hence most of the Indian companies keep GB+TC, sensors same. They might change, prop shafts (front and rear), crown pinion ratio and CVs as per vehicle.

I feel that they will initially launch the Scorpio in 4wd for the higher variants.
Once Thar 5 door is launched the Scorpio will revert to being a RWD offering only. Plusher than the Thar with more gizmos.

Most likely similar without front BLD ( may even miss the rear MLD).

It is the other way around, New Thar uses a variant of the 3rd Gen Scorpio Chassis - used from 2014 onwards. One can expect all the bits underneath to be more or less the same as Thar.

Thank you for the clarification , i never realized that the 2014 Scorpio had a new platform because of how similar it looks to the old one

Hi. I could not find a suitable thread for this so created a new one. Mods please move this to the suitable section if needed. Nearly 2 weeks ago, on Saturday, I came across 2 heavily camouflaged cars on the Bhandarkar Road FC Road junction. These were SUVs and were driven a bit sedately. I am not able to identify these cars nor could get a look at the front as there was heavy traffic. These cars were fairly big in size when compared with the M-Class. My mother managed to get pictures of the rear of one car. Can anyone tell me which are these cars?

The grab handle on the hatch door, height of the SUV and some muscle quirks of Mahindra akin to XUV 700 on the body kinda gives away that this is next gen Scorpio.

Looks like pedestrian safety norms have removed the cool bonnet air scoops.

Looks are going to be the most important factor, the rest of the things are taken care of by the platform.
