A few may be sent to auto magazines / reviewers for long term testing. A lot of them will be sent to showrooms as test drive vehicles. Some may also be used within the factory for senior staff. Or sold at company discounts to the employees. I would assume that they may retain a few to conduct further modifications & testing. Off topic, GTO has compiled a thread describing what happens at a media drive. Makes for an interesting read. https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...ives-work.html (Behind the Scenes: How Press & Media Drives Work) Last edited by Ithaca : 28th June 2022 at 11:19. |

| ![]() Loved the looks except for the tailgate design before and after the pricing reveal I am thinking of booking the top variant in 4wd. Had hoped about a third row split but maybe a roof carrier can be added to sort out the luggage worries. (Are the roof rails load bearing?) I am in no urgent need of a car now and can wait until a year for all the niggles to be cleared but will definitely do a test drive. Looking at the below pic looks like the hand brake will foul with resting the driver's hand on armrest. Or is it just the angle of the pic? | ![]() Okay, firstly - I had to scroll down a lot on this page to get to this dialogue writing box ![]() Mahindra deserves a big applause for executing everything to the Z. You guys are pioneers in SUV making and it shows it in every bit of the last 3 cars you launched - Thar, 7OO & the Scorpio-N. White looks dashing on this well-proportioned and well-designed car. The apprehensions on the rear is now stands knocked off. It’s pretty decent at the rear, nothing flashy as I initially thought considering you didn’t expose much of the rear. Clearly, you’re setting benchmarks Mahindra! This car will sell easily even if you’d not used the Scorpio monicker! The only downer from the marketing front is that lame “DADDY” claim on all your posters! Come on! ![]() |

| ![]() Confused between this and XUV700 . SA says the top end AT 4WD would be around 26.5 lakhs OTR Bangalore. If that’s true then value proposition is great compared to XUV 700. But, if the difference is 1-2 lakhs then probably I will consider XUV 700 awd as one can get ADAS , Panoramic sunroof and a monocoque platform. |

The roof rails must be load bearing as Mahindra has shown roof rack as an accessory in their brochure.

| ![]() The ScorpioN is more of a Mini Alturas G4 than a Scorpio. It looks amazing. It definitely looks a segment above than the previous Scorpio. Got to give it Mahindra for the variety of SUV on offer. XUV700 becomes a massive hit, and they now bet on a similarly sized BoF, RWD SUV, and everyone is confident this will win. Also considering they will continue with the Scorpio classic. And, Tata can't launch a BS6 Hexa because they fear it will affect Harrier/Safari's sales. I hope they release the crash test ratings like the XUV700. |

| ![]() Thank you for covering the launch news and sharing the pics from the media drives. My few observations - 1. The bottom 8-10 inches in the rear tail gate end is clearly the eyesore in the overall grown up design and gives it a proper Xylo/ MPV look. A rear diffuser with a rake angle could have made it look much better. 2. Mahindra clearly went overboard with the "Daddy" monicker. Looks and sounds hilarious and cheesy. I wonder who approves such catch words. 3. The Scorpio however, has lost the compact size it had before. Look forward to drive reports. |

Infractions: 0/1 (4) | ![]() The 3rd row bench not folding down completely and eating into the boot space is a bit concerning. I'll wait for the reviews to get more details. |

Nice point noted being a psychologist. But most of the people who are vulnerable to mental illness are drowsy all the time but still could able to drive. I think they are confused
