Looks stunning to me!

And disappointment to my greedy mind of trying to find the name of the car by the Registration Number on the teaser-car: The vahaninfos.com website showed the vehicle name as MAHINDRA TUV300

On a serious note, I think this is a huge step-up for Scorpio. The front and side design surely looks a lot more mature than the current gen that lost its charm (in comparison to the previous gen that had curvy claddings).
A Body-on-Frame RWD (or a 4WD) with a sorted out ride quality (may not be as good as the Endeavour, but I would be happy with anything better than the current gen Scorpio) and 3rd row AC vents - Here Mahindra, take my 25L.

Good teaser must say ! except for the "Daddy" part, which I felt too cringe.

The chrome garnish on the top of window line looks inspired from Harrier & the Kink in the lower window line near 3rd row reminds XUV 5oo

The teaser talks about D segment and therefore my guess is that it would be something in the Alturas territory. Surely they cannot be putting Scorpio in the D segment. If this guess is right, then we might be seeing a Fortuner rival with Mahindra offering all the high tech in that vehicle and may be something more. It would be quite interesting to know.

Everyone was waiting for XUV500 upgrade, and then came XUV700 and no XUV500 in production now.
This could be same story, after the big daddy, there will be no SCORPIO in production!

Hopefully Mahindra gives the option of 4x4 or AWD on lower/mid spec variants too and not limited to top end model.

I don't want all your fancy electronics, I just want a simple car where all 4 wheels are powered.

Now there is Thar 5 door also in the contention. Fingers crossed Mahindra does not keep 4x4 exclusive to Thar. These two will fight a narrow space but what's the harm? No one else has such solid SUV line up in India.

I find it funny that Mahindra is claiming this to be the big daddy of SUVs taking the fight to the D segment SUVs with only a 130 BHP diesel unit.

I hope to be proven wrong with the engine specs over the course of the reveal though. But this is a Scorpio and not the Alturas.

On the topic of Mahindra’s ad campaign, I can’t help but recall Big B’s past car endorsements - Versa and Force One. We all know how that went.

For Mahindra’s sake, I hope his contribution to the publicity or marketing of this car, is restricted to the voice over.
