The more I see this one, the more it reminds me of the other body on frame 'by Mahindra' - the Alturas G4.

From a design perspective, it seems the visual and other design concept started with the Alturas G4 and modifications kept happening as needed to meet with core Scorpio-values of cheap and easy repairs, and practicality. The rear has been totally changed though.

I think, ever since Alturas flopped, Mahindra is in a dilemma of how to increase Scorpio's premiumness to position it above existing Scorpio (so as to increase their profits) while leveraging some learnings from Alturas G4. They know the customers wont pay big bucks so they may target a price band of 14L to 22-23L max

So after watching the Interior Teaser of the "Big Daddy", I have found some inspirations taken from other SUVs.
First, the interior centre console seems to have been quite a lot inspired from the Fortuner, the instrument cluster from the Seltos and the 4WD selector from the BMW Series of vehicles(Albeit they have a different function there and even the Nexon EV MAX has it). It does look great however with the mix and match and I have no doubt this will sell in numbers (pricing is the key Mahindra). Here are the pics:-

It all depends upon Mahindra whether ScorpionN will be a hit or not. If they can produce 10,000 per month, it is definitely a hit. It is of no use to call it a hit if Mahindra can't meet demand, leading to waiting periods like the XUV700.
It is so frustrating to see such long waiting periods for a commodity like cars. A customer who needs to spend money (a lot of it, for that matter) is chasing the seller. I miss the good old days.

Agreed, but unless they are able to ramp up their production significantly Tata's will still be able to sell to those who dont want to wait for 6 to 18 months.

Humbly disagree. The dashboard centre console looks inspired from the mighty Landcruiser itself. Specifically the 100 and 200 series.

Except that, Defender dashboard is done gracefully, while this one is too loud because of the extra chrome scattered all over the places.

Oh I did forget about the Arabic Sand Dune Master has been the centre of inspiration for our Desi "Big Daddy" Jokes aside I see a great future for this SUV and M&M sales. The only problem they need to resolve are the service centre touch points and the pricing should be aggressive and not in the D-Segment they are aiming at.

Don’t think Tata twins will suffer much of a blow due to the Scorpio N . Even after the launch of XUV700 , the combined sales of Harrier and Safari hover around 5000 ( almost segment topping) with neck to neck competition from the XUV700.

To put it simply Scorpio and the Tata twins have completely different clientele.

On the other hand it may slightly affect XUV700’s lower varients

There was definitely some spillage from XUV700 to Safari/Harrier due to waiting times. With no ADAS on SCORPIO-N, the waiting times should be in the same ball-park as Tata Twins. This and the NCAP rating combined along with petrol and AWD (on diesel) offerings will have a dent on Tata sales.
