Hello bhpians, spotted this car on F.C. road pune. I think it is a Citroen small car. But the launch is very near and the car has been spotted without camo elsewhere. So maybe this is not Citroen. Any guess?

Could be the Citroen, but the frontal design philosophy looks much more similar to a Hyundai Creta, if anything. Hyundai possibly getting a Nios facelift ready?

The interior looks like the Citroën C3, especially the left AC vent and the speaker hole on the A-pillar. And of course the bumpy surface above the glove box looks just like the Citroën's.

Spotted 3 mules today. Two top trim dual tone, and 1 base trim. Even top trim gets steel wheels only. The mules were driven quite hard, they were sprinting away from traffic.

I saw the same 2 cars and colours too on NH45.
Managed to photograph one at standstill.

It was travelling at 110kmph comfortably on highway and accelerating pretty well.
Though the rear resembled the XUV 100 slightly it looked reasonably well proportioned and front looked pretty good.

Flap type door handles!! I could have accepted it on Altos and Celerios but on a perceived premium brand like Citroen. Ridiculous. This is 2022 for crying out loud and those handles are a couple of decades late.

Rest of the car is OK, with a good front and a bland rear. And surprisingly the dual tone (may be top variant) lacks a rear wash and wipe. Cost cutting?

As launch nears ( April ), Citroen C3 rolls out its first unit from Brazil:

The Stellantis Group announced the start of serial production in Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro, of the New Citroën C3.
The new model will be the first of a family of three vehicles designed for consumers in Brazil and other South American countries.

The variant of the CMP platform will be the basis of the C-Cubed project, a set of three new vehicles, which begin to hit the market with the New C3.

Any pics of the C3 cannot be termed as spy shots anymore! Everyone and their grandmas have seen this already.

Besides, its hardly like Citroen is hiding this car anymore! Check their official page - https://www.citroen.in/new-c3 Its all there!

Coming back to this prolonged testing, are they really testing the car or the brand?? The sound bytes will be like - Guys, is it too late to pull out?? Or do we still stick with the plan? I certainly hope not and will like some more choices in this ever tightening sellers market.

I like the way the C3 looks and its footprint. What I don't like! Those flappy door handles and no rear wiper even on the top variant?? Looks like someone from Hyundai has joined their team!

And Citroen, Hyundai can get away with it. But you cannot. Any brave soul putting money on the C3 will want the complete package. Irrespective of the pricing! No matter how aggressive that is.

So, please don't be penny wise and pound foolish Citroen! Add that rear wiper like you have it in other markets.

Isn't this a fake C3? As in the way Renault did the Captur as well as Nissan with the Kicks which had only the name in common with the global vehicle.

The C3 European model seems like a more premium car.

Citroen has already taken an anticipatory bail, saying the C3 is a brand name for all Citroen hatchbacks sold over the world.

Well, can't equate this with the Captur/Kaptur/Kicks fiasco. Citroen here is transparent about the whole deal. Renault however just used the awards, ratings, reviews of the European C/Kaptur and hoped the Indian junta would assume the Indian Captur was the same model.

Rear wiper, electric mirrors, mirror-mounted turn signals, fifth passenger head restraint, and I'm guessing it should be safe to say ESC (which it will have to get in Argentina by law). Datsun has tried this 'India-strategic low-cost' approach and failed. Comparatively the more expensive but 'complete' Magnite has been doing much better. I wish Citroën the best but it really looks like they're still in that phase of 'Indian customers want a low-cost affordable means of travel'. Very few can pull that off correctly.

Kia did it with the Seltos, Hyundai's been doing it with the i10 for years, Toyota's done it with the Yaris (though to be fair those two looked very different). As long as they don't try to claim it's the same car it's probably fine.
