I believe that the White model is that of a lower or base variant. In pic with the other Citroen C3 models, I noticed that the other two models (the ones in silver and grey) seemed to have:

- Different Alloy Design
- Rear wiper
- Pull Type Door Handles
- Sunroof

However, I do not see how having a different type of door handle for the base variant is going to reduce manufacturing costs.

The silver and gray cars are totally different cars. The white one is C3 and rest 2 are C3 Aircross.

Are these scale models of the next-generation cars, or are they facelifts of the existing generation of the C3 and C3 Aircross? I might be wrong but I can only make out subtle differences in the grill and C-pillar as compared to the existing models available in Europe.

Since the new-generation is supposed to be developed on the CMP platform whereas, the existing one is based on the PF1 platform, I would have expected major changes in the design of the vehicles.

Spot on!

With those economy segment flap type handles, smaller foot print, and lack of LED lights or even alloys, makes me think that this would be a low cost offering, fighting it out with Tata HBX at best. This cannot go against the established compact SUVs on the market already.

Also, like you had pointed out, Renault brought in Koleos and Fluence as premium offerings to introduce the brand before giving us the Duster and then the Kwid.

Citroen's low cost compact SUV for India, spied testing in Europe.

Could be called C3 AIRCROSS.

The next big novelty that Citroën will introduce in India will be none other than the new Citroën C3 2022. However, despite its name, this model will have no relation to the utilitarian that is marketed in the Old Continent. And, while their main destination is Indian dealerships, part of their development is taking place in this part of the world as evidenced by these new spy photos.

This is how the new Indian C3 has been photographed carrying out road tests in southern Europe.

It will also be produced locally and will deal with segment B. It will be supported by Stellantis' CMP platform, opening the door to possible electrification. By cost, the mechanical offer will be composed exclusively of engines powered by gasoline.

Under the hood will be a 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine that can be paired to a manual gearbox or an automatic transmission. In any case always with a front-wheel drive system.

Citroën can afford to use the iconic commercial name C3 for an urban crossover since india does not market the utility that we do have in Europe. It would have made more sense to opt for the name C3 Aircross. The 'chevrons' company has ruled out such a possibility.

While it is known the CC221 refers to a car that will play a leading role in Citroën's Indian range, it should be noted that this is a FUTURE ELECTRIC CAR.

When launched in EV form it will rival Dacia Spring.

A vehicle whose name is unknown although we should not be surprised if you opt for the citroën ë-C3 trade name that will use the future electric variant of the French utility that we will enjoy in this part of the world ( EU).

While the combustion engine model will be available from just under €10,000, its electric alternative must do the same in order to be able to cope with the best cheap electric cars. And that is where Dacia Spring comes in.

Citroën model will be a step above in terms of performance and size. Dacia's electric is 3.7 metres long while Citroën's future model will be very close to 4 metres in length. This places it practically in two distinct categories. Despite this, and for price, they are called upon to deal directly.

The exterior design will differ from the combustion model thanks to various details and characteristic features that allow it to enhance its condition as an electric vehicle. It will be supported by the Stellantis e-CMP platform.

The launch of this electric car in India will occur sometime in the year 2022.

Citroen C3 crossover to be launched in 2022

Citroen plans to launch one new SUV in India every year. This year, we got the C5 Aircross and in 2022, the French carmaker will be expanding its range in the market.



The company plans to launch the C3 crossover that will be positioned below the C5 Aircross. According to Saurabh Vatsa, Citroen Brand Head India, it will be introduced in 2022.

The Citroen C3 will be based on a localized version of the Common Modular Platform (CMP). It is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It might also get a dual-clutch automatic transmission as an option.

Prototypes of the C3 are already out testing and the spy images suggest that the car will feature the same quirky styling we've seen on other Citroen models.

Citroen's Compact SUV likely to be called " C3 Sporty". Launching in 2022.

Spied on test again.

Despite the camouflage, the split light clusters at the front, the stubby rear end and the distinct C-pillar can clearly be seen. Also visible are old-school flap-type door handles, signalling Citroen's intent to get the pricing right in the cut-throat sub-4m crossover segment the C3 would be in.

One of the spy shots capture the C3 next to the Hyundai Creta which gives a fair indication of the Citroen's size.

PSA is said to be working on a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine to power the C3 while a 1.5-liter diesel engine might also join in due course. A 5-speed manual transmission is likely to be the mainstay with an automatic option also being planned. While the powertrain would be manufactured at PSA's joint-venture plant with Avtec near Hosur, the car will be assembled at a facility in Thiruvallur near Chennai that PSA bought from Hindustan Motors.
